I dont think you can convert a D3 to drailler.
Afair the D3 has a 118mm OLD rear. The SL curve is the standard 135mm. I would not try to force an aluminium frame to widen.
This is the reason I have never done a dual drive curve modification with drops. You could fit a hub gear with ore speeds.

folding bike

My husband just bought me a Raleigh 20. It needs some work like new tires and cables, etc. It is white. No photos yet. So excited. Need to add it is a 3speed. When I was in Junior High school I had an old Raleigh.

I ride an Airnimal Chemelion. It's made in England but I picked it up in Hong Kong. 24" wheels, Shimano 105 parts. It doesn't fold as quickly and easily as a Brompton but it's comfortable to ride, quick, firm and responsive and fits into a suitcase in about 15 minutes. Perfect for credit card touring.

Hello, I bought these old folder probably 10 years ago for $25. Could never find any info on it. Knew it had tires from Germany. Searched for IFA, could find nothing. Had issues with crank cotter pin. Ended up welding it. Anyway it's my beach, boardwalk, loaner bike. Always a favorite ride. Anyway, I googled the rear hub RENAK, and found out the bike is a MIFA, from East Germany. Typ 904, Serial num 2007721 (i'm sure it doesn't stand for July 21, 2007!!).

An oldie but a goodie.

My Tern Eclipse Uno

This is my Tern Eclipse Uno that I have had for around 3 months and that sees plenty of use in Adelaide, Australia
I pack this thing in and out of my car each day for a semi commute to work.

I have added a Sram X7 clutch Derailleur and 11-36 cassette which works really well.

I would like to add a rack soon. Ideally I'd like something to take a Topeak MTX bag that I have but I'm not convinced they do a rack that will work on the 24in bike given the location of the mount half way up the seat stay.

Its a fast, nimble little bike and best of all with 24" wheels it doesn't look too comical.

Hi I've had an electric folding bike for over 6 months now, I use it every day for my commute to work and i absolutely love it. No issues so far. I've recently begun to take it out on the weekends too but I'm a little stuck for scenic places to visit as I live in South London. I've never thought to take a picture myself as i don't really do the Instagram thing but here's a link to a site that stocks them, She's a beauty! https://www.a2bshop.co.uk/Kuo

Nice, I`ve got a 20" electric bike too. What about taking it on the train out of London to look for places to ride?

Make and model can not be described. It is an old (70`s?) detatchable bike common in this area. They came with a two speed kick back or just ss. I have two of them and converted them to Nexus7 hub gear some yrs ago. Then I added a hub motor front wheel to one of them some three yrs ago.

Got a tern D16 speedster back in April for my Bday.
First order of business was to remove the front crank speed changer (I never use it) and the connected to it piece which makes sure the chain doesnt fall of the smallest crank.

Was all fun and dandy till went over a crazy bump this Sunday, and the chain flew off completely, lost balance, kissed pavement at 20kph+
Will put the guard piece back on once I regrow some skin lol.

Pics attached.

Loving the bike so far, the extra 4" are definitely noticeable from my 20" Dahon knockoff.
Under super heavy load the front bracket makes a ticking noise, which sucks, will need to take it in. Pedals are also plasticy and meh, but overall loving it.

My first "folder" - I used a pair of roll cage couplers to put it together and took it south to Paraguay a decade ago. I call it a "Suitcase Bike" and I've made three now. This one has served me well when we visit the family and here's a video I recently made about it. I call it a "Suitcase Bike" and I've made three now.

Originally a fixed gear, I converted it to a single speed in July. I even caught a Paraguayan cow walking the street in the background.

Soon I'll have a video up about my recent pilgrimage to Caacupe on that very same bicycle while in Paraguay a month ago.
