I would need the tourist version of the Cambio Corsa, forget the model name. I placed flags of tape on a bike a decade ago to see if I could manage a shift. Nope. Not that flexible. I have been working on that, but not yet.

Okay, I decided to sign up for the Santa Lucia route and just paid my registration after confirming with my uncle that my wife and I can stay in their beach house in Cayucos that weekend. So I'll see some of you folks there!

I registered and paid in December but the registration is not showing up on the homepage side. I am trying since January to get in contact with someone but without success. Good luck.

My radiation treatments will begin on July 24th and run until Sept. 7th, one week before my arrival in Cambria. It's gonna suck but what do you do? If you see the guy with a large burn or bandage on the left side of his face, say hi.

Good luck with the treatment Brad. I'll look you up in September. Hopefully, the weather will be somewhat cool so the burn wont be so unbearable. It sucks that the concourse wont be on for you to win another entry. Not sure, if there is much incentive for you to travel that far now. Hats off to you for your perseverance.

Unfortunately, not responding to e-mails became all too common once the organization went to Italia. Sometimes they respond, more often they don't. I hope the new local folks do better, but I expect this year will be pretty chaotic with the pass-off.

Good luck with the treatment Brad! They way how you paddled up these California mountains last year as a Texan rider tells me that you will tackle this treatment with the same perseverance. Take it paddle stroke by paddle stroke, focus on the next yards up the road. See you in September.

Snagged a spot to stay in Cambria (didn't want to wait too long, and I didn't want to camp this year), so I'll be there the 16th & 17th. I may go volunteer and hand out water for the Nova riders on Saturday, and I'll ride the 73mi Santa Lucia route this year.
I didn't go to the Saturday night dinner last year--what say ya'll; is it usually worth the $50?

The Eroica people finally responded to my inquiry of May 28 regarding the festival etc. and they ONLY requested my opinion of their customer service. ????
Still excited. Questioning my bike/gearing choice.

I emailed them twice about not being able to make it and requesting a refund, and got the same “tell us about our customer service” email. Twice.

It sucks, but that's the fine print, I believe.

Buried somewhere in the registration is a statement that they don't do refunds, but you can apply your payment to another Eroica event. Used to be it wasn't even transferrable, but as the event was scheduled, cancelled, and scheduled again due to the pandemic, they did allow transfers so you could sell your entry.

Hang in there. I send them several emails since December, because I paid the early registration fee but the registration did not show up. Nobody replied and I also only got the “tell us about customer service” replies, until 2 weeks ago when someone contacted me. I am registered now.
