Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Saw some Perfromance terry gloves for $6:

Performance Terry Gloves - Nashbar

I have the blue ones just like them for a long time. They're good. Too bad only the grey is available in XL...

Look Keo Flex 2 pedals $20:

LOOK Kéo Flex 2 Road Pedals - Nashbar

Anyone have these pedals? How well do they last? I have the Keo Max 2 and like them. But these are more basic and have no clip retention adjustability. But probably not a big deal.

Edit: Read a review here:

https://www.bikerumor.com/2013/10/17...d-bike-pedals/

However, it has mixed reviews. Some say they're good and others say they're crap. Will probably stick with the Keo Max 2 or something similar...

I don't know if this is sticky hot, but Merlin has 105 5800 brake calipers for $55.41.

That was cheap enough for me to try them.

I highly doubt you'll find them at this price anytime soon.

You'll probably need tires before you ever see this price again.

Think I got some good deals. I like that they have free shipping with an order of $25 calculated pre-discount. The site is weird because the price listed for each item isn't necessarily the lowest. I poked around for various styles/colors and got even lower prices. Now here's hoping that my shrimpy body is scrawny enough to fit into the smalls. These will be my first road gear; for the price I don't mind going by price.

Strange assortment of merchandise on that site. It's mostly ridiculously low-end stuff like coaster brake replacement wheels and ancient 6 and 7 speed MTB shifters. The Contis are the only worthwhile item on the whole site.
