Bikes at organized events, bike envy?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thank you, Troul. I feel the same after buying upgrades, so why didn't I think of the above before?

I will shorten the above to "Never have I experienced a waste after risking a new bike purchase" and ask my wife to make it into a decal for the top tube of my next new bike in your honor.

Yeah it's a risk I've always been willing to take.

They're always coming up with faster shades of red.

I have no desire for a new bike. Apart from the bikes I want, anyway.

I have a pair of those big swinging bovine berries hanging from my saddlebag. It doesn't matter which one of my bikes I'm riding. I can tell the other riders are envious because of the way they are pointing, whispering and laughing. It's hard to look that cool, but I pull it off.
