What's the full story on this bike? Looks like right side has a SRAM brifter and left side DT shifter. The fork is straight and a threadless steering tube. Is the seat post CF and what stem is that?

It's custom build to my specifications by Antonio Taverna at Telai Vetta in Padua - Vetta | Costruzione e riparazione telai per biciclette di ogni tipo a small family business which celebrates 70 years of framebuilding this year - and painted by Brady van Dalen at BCP Special Paintwork. The geometry is an exact copy of my Merlin Extralight.

I specifically asked for this setup with a cable stop on the right and a shifter boss on the left. On the downtube is a Campagnolo Syncro shifter with a carbon lever made by BTP mounted with a Syntace titanium bolt. The brakelever came from the "Campagnolo TT" range and is basically an 10sp Ergopower without the shifting mechanism. When Ergo/STI shifters first started appearing in the Pro peloton it was often seen that some riders would have the front ring changer on the down tube especially for mountain stages in order to save weight. I first started to use this combination in 1997 and continued to use it on various bikes since.

The stem is custom steel made to my specifications (Ø 1” ; 105mm ; 6º) by Bart Veuger at WINDcycleworks specifically to match the slim steel tubes of the frame and to clamp directly on a 1" headtube 26mm handlebars.

I like the bars.
The rose colored bits up front are interesting, but seem sort of misplaced, especially with the white-splashed shifters and crank that look like they belong on a plastic bike.
Seems like a nice bike one would be very happy to own, but it's not hot.

What tires are those? The sidewalls look orange on my computer, not the tan you would expect from gumwalls.

Veloflex master 25mm.. they aren't totally clean, but also not completely dirty as i actually ride the thing... must be the contrasting colors

If he's referring to the tires on the white Allez, they're Spec Turbo Cottons, 26mm - I've noticed they yellow over time more than any of the other gumwall tires I've owned (Challenge, Vittoria).

Thanks mate, I'm pretty stoked with it. I have another foil being built up as we speak purely for racing on, same frame just last years premium model with some lower spec components.

Last years team issue was Matt black and green but the green was Matt too. This years is gloss green and Matt black with a few subtle areas in gloss black too. Looks better in the flesh although it does look well in the pics I've taken. The manufacturer images do not do the bike justice whatsoever.

I really like this bike and considering it's basic style I find unappealing it a hell of a compliment. I normally don't care for frames with seat stays lower than the top tube and areo seatpost/seat tubes but the ones I do like I always really really like, your bike fall into the really really like category. The only thing that I would say takes away from the overall appeal of the bike is the seat look unproportionally short for the aero seat post.

Hot, minus the tires. Would look so much better with a solid black tire. Love the fork, and even the white bar tape looks good on there.
