Burgers made from beef chuck and pork shoulder I ground fresh. I mixed in cayenne pepper, sea salt and minced fresh garlic and made 6 oz patties. I grilled them over charcoal. The buns were fresh Polish white rye buns that I cut, buttered, with Amish butter, and toasted golden brown on the grill. I dressed the burgers with romaine lettuce, fresh tomato slices, jalapeño pepper slices, Hellman's mayo and yellow mustard.

I made golden brown oven fried red skin potatoes wedges that were tossed with fresh minced garlic and sea salt when they came out of the oven as a side.

Pasta on the boil.

Yesterday the SO and I made turkey chili, so the older boy and I will eat turkey chili over pasta. The younger boy will eat tuna over pasta because he doesn't like the chili. The SO is at a political meeting where she took a lot of wine and pita chips. Others will bring the main courses. I'm hoping for a good snack later.

Two bowls of turkey chili over pasta. No snack for me tonight!

For dinner.

Plate 1: Mashed potatoes, beans, roast beef, carrots, and some onion rings. Small portions of each.
Plate 2: Salad (lettuce, spinach, carrots, red peppers) with ham, and a berry vinagrette
Bowl 1: Kelloggs special K with strawberry stuffs for dessert. It was too sugary.

Yum.

My mom made 2x1 liter zip loc containers of kheer for me to take to school. When I got back, the first was gone in less than a day.

Sooo good!

I'm a fatty. I'm already 39 calories over my daily limit thingy, and it's only 8:30, and I'm hungry.

I had a little bit of roasted red skin potatoes, lots of green beans, some squash, a little bit of pasta (no sauce). I then had a spinach salad with carrots, chickpeas, black olives, and cucumbers, with vinager and olive oil for dressing.

If you're dieting, you have to get used to feeling a little hungry. Give it a while and you'll get used to the feeling. Drink water when you feel hungry, and or chew gum or eat salad/celery.

If you really want to reach the end goal, you have to be willing to make the sacrifice.

Yup.

Oh, and eat foods that are really nutrient dense/filling.

Pasta is a horrible choice. Sorry. Super caloric and not filling.

I had a huge salad with chicken and tons of incredible veg, which I warmed in the pan. 1/2 delicata squash for dessert.

Like 400 cals and I am stuffed.... must have been 20-25 grams fiber and 30 grams protein in dinner alone. Tons of vitamins and minerals too.... but importantly, I'm stuffed.

May have a bit of chicken before bed, but maybe not....

Yeah. I do fine on days I ride, because I have a few more calories to work with.

Today is an off day, so I don't have many calories (only 1920 for the day), so it's tough.

Being an athlete is tough. You gotta make the choice.

I struggle with it too, but I'm so frustrated right now that I'm turning it to dedication.

Same breakfast and lunch as yesterday (and pretty much every other day)
afternoon snack: just a banana
dinner: home cooked roast beef w/ some sauteed slices of sweet potato, a little bit of homemade mac and cheese, mixed veggies and cranberry sauce.
Only ate 1 service, which was tough. 10:36 PM and I am starving. Can't wait until tomorrow morning so I can eat my oatmeal.
