Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sounds like you got tubeless valve stems, not valve extenders.

We had 61° yesterday, I took the opportunity to clean and flush the gutters.

Today is forecast warm too, maybe I'll cut some kindling.

Why would there be extenders for tubeless?

We had some excitement last night. Rango got into some kind of contretemps with an unidentified animal. Came in smelling BAD. Not like skunk, though. Still, we ended up deskunking him (H2O2 + baking soda + dish soap, followed by thorough rinse), but he was all wound up and slept poorly, plus all the activity seems to have triggered his neck problem a bit.

When I was a youngster (aged 4-8), the ice cream man's visit was possibly the high point of my day. We moved away at age 8 and my life has been ruined ever since.

Those are fancier vans than we have around here. Limey's must love their cones.

When my friend and I had a shop we worked on ice cream trucks for a guy who had 4 of them, iirc. He had a regular job and his wife ran one of the trucks and employees drove the others. It was a lot of work and time for what was basically supplemental income. At least to hear him tell it they didn't make a ton of money.
Always paid his bill, though.

There are several that circulate around here all year, a couple of the larger ones, too, but they are kinda beat up. One has a problem with the generator so it revs up and down spewing noxious exhaust. Sucks when it stops near our house to sell to the local kids. They come by as late as 9:30.

You'd be surprised how little "mom and pop" businesses make. Most basically provide the owners with a job with a 5-figure paycheck, and don't have a lot of upside potential.
