New team bike complete (for now) to get the spring underway. i paid for etap but that's delayed til who knows when....
Spaceship, changed back to arione saddle. ares was too short. and i dont wanna flip the post on this ugly seattube junction. Added some risers to the spacers and shortened stem by 15mm.

The different wheel decals really bug me, but newer deeper rear wheel this week with DA cassette. About same weight as older jet 6 rear with 6800 cassette.
Also I'm giving up on any tire that isn't black after this year. Yellow was on sale. I thought it would be more tan.

Those are great wheels, and the tires look pro.

I still prefer the tan walls of veloflex masters, even though these bontragers have an aero wing. (Pre aero bar that added reach)

Question - do you use the end of the drops? I cut them off on my bars because they get in the way and I never use them.

I never use the end of the drops. Always on the inner portion so I can reach brakes, unless on hoods during a sustained climb.

I'll have to take pictures of my hand on the bars. ALso an updated picture of the bike.

ISM saddle, reused old tape (horrific tape job but that white speck is actually some debris from the road that was on my bars), some cable management near stem. 170 cranks, probably will go back to 175s. Otherwise everything is the same as last year.

Ridley 2015 Fenix NOS frameset built with 5800 drivetrain and brakes. This is going to be my "climbing" bike as it's set up with a mid-cage RD and 50/34 rings, and I have an 11/32 cassette for it. The wheels appear mismatched but use the same rims - front is a factory-built Hed Ardennes Plus, while the rear is a Hed Belgium Plus rim built with a Powertap G3 I already had; just the graphics are different. The wheels are set up as tubeless and have S-Works tubeless 700x24s on them that measure ~27mm on those rims. This is the first bike I've had that has a noticeably (to me) stiff bottom bracket. For a bike that's advertised as an "endurance" bike, it's pretty damned stiff riding, but not too bad. I like it so far, haven't gone more than 60 miles on a ride yet.

Cervelo R5. Please excuse the not exactly level crank arms. Coming from a S3, and although I loved that bike, I couldn't have imagined how much more I was going to love this one.

I have a Ridley Fenix too and really like it. It's definitely not a 'comfy' ride, it's pretty firm. I also agree about the stiffness. The bike I ride now (Canyon Aeroad) is a bit stiffer and comfier. I don't still feel at home with it like I did with the Ridley.

Rode this last night, reach is 2 cm longer than before. Will be going back to the red bike with previous reach measurement. I prefer the new shape Campy levers, the FSA Compact bar's drops. I do like the 39 cm stays, they are phenomenal when out of the saddle, red bike is slightly longer at 39.3 cm. On the black bike I do a lot of "lifting the front wheel" in sprints, on the red bike it doesn't happen that I remember. I prefer the "lift front wheel" thing. 170 cranks, probably going back to 175s with appropriate seat height drop and setback.

If I move the saddle back it hurts my back and I can't inhale very much. This has always been the case, even when I was skinny.
As far as physique goes my thighs hit my stomach long before anything hits my chest lol. I think the only thing that hits my chest are my hands/bars when I'm in an aero tuck.
Strain on my knees, not sure. I have pretty sensitive knees but no problems once everything is set up right, regardless of crank length. I went 4 mm higher over the winter because I was stupid and my knees hurt for about 4-5 weeks. However the 175s by themselves don't affect my knees.

Wowow. That's a 2x Allez Sprint right? I heard those sold out in like 8 minutes. I saw a 1x Sprint at a race the other week. They are super hot bikes IMO.
