The Velocio summer jersey is made with Polartec Delta which has a cooling effect built into the fabric.

It's really about the UV protection and cooling.. you'd be nuts to sell a summer jersey that isn't supposedly 'cooling'. Here's an example, but of course it's only short sleeved. Call me crazy, but if just one clothing company came out and put the SPF 50 (as in this linked product below) top n center on it's clothing line, i think it would do well.

I bought this jersey a year or so ago... still love it and wear it, but it's pretty difficult finding "summer" UV protective long-sleeve and cooling jerseys. This one is long discontinued now.

no experience with them but Search & State is supposed to be good
just buy Rapha
keep it simple and consistent
i'd stick with castelli if it wasn't for the scorpion logo that looks 20 years behind

I can't speak to their designs (because I buy pre-designed club jerseys), but right now my Pactimo jerseys are my favorite for pedaling in oppressively hot weather.

Yeah, the Pro Team Flyweight is pretty nice.
Now that it is in hand and comparing it to the photos of the Souplesse jersey it is clear that they are different textiles. The fit is racy but not tight. It has a very light "touch" and feels like almost nothing.
I'll probably get a men's Classic Flyweight as well, maybe the new Crit version. If it feels half as nice as the Pro then it will be worth it.
Should be 90°F after work tomorrow. Really looking forward to trying it out.

Another dhb fan here. It definitely doesn't have the rep or price tag of Rapha, Assos, etc., but I've found that my two dhb jerseys (Aeron Speed and last year's ASV Race) are my best jerseys for hot/humid rides, and are better quality than most other kit I own. The new Lab line looks nice, but sleeves that long will result in a Rule #7 violation.
Has anyone tried the Ale' stuff for summer? I love my winter jersey from them, and am lusting after some of their sale items.

So what is this for?
It is an elastic loop inside the left pocket on the Rapha Pro Flyweight Jersey. I'm told the writing is the French version of the f word and don't understand why a brand like Rapha feels the need to use that on their products.
Profanity or not, either way, I'd like to know what the purpose of the loop is.

For a pump, innit? That might explain the exclamation, too (it's not the f word - it's excrement).

Having cycled for about 40 years and having tried most kit, I can recommend without hesitation anything Assos. I will advise though that their kit tends to be race fit, aka: body paint.

The Rapha Pro Team Flyweight is light, almost disappears when put on and does not impose itself at all while on the bike. Biceps are the only place where I can really feel it and I don't have large biceps.
I've used it for one 30 mile mixed gravel/pavement ride @ 90° F. A high lycra content jersey like the Di Marchi Legarra will saturate in these conditions. This jersey was dry except for the bottom near the waist. The way it dries is remarkably similar to some Arc'teryx garments I own which are made from Polartec textiles. The Rapha jersey doesn't say Polartec anywhere on it but I would not be surprised. Whatever it is moves and evaporates moisture very rapidly.
The pockets held shape better than i would have expected given the lightweight material - cell phone, tactical pepper spray, a gel, keys and ID - haven't really stuffed them yet but didn't notice any bouncing.
The zipper seems a bit stiff at the bottom when trying to separate the last bit. Old Assos jerseys suffered from zipper failure at the bottom and I'll have to watch this one for signs of failure. The zipper on the pocket is stiff across its entire length.
This is really a top shelf product. I'm going to buy another Flyweight jersey from Rapha but a classic cut this time and I still want to try the Velocio.

ALSO based on the discussion here, I picked up a Rapha Flyweight at the Seattle store last week and wore it on a 60mi ride in Mississippi this past Saturday, w/ Rapha underlayer. The combo performed magnificently.

I really like the Pactimo jerseys. I have a thermal long sleeve one that is amazing and I have two of the "summer" jerseys which are fantastic. Good fit, I bought the grey jerseys with a bit of orange in them so the colors are subdued and look nice. They've held up nicely and I even skidded on my back and shoulder in some grass which washed out of the jersey very well.
I have a super light and thin summer jersey from Guarneu too, but it's so thin I think I'll only wear it on super hot (above 90) days.

Nobody mentioned Panache?!?
Maybe I missed this over the last 3 pages but I didn't see Panache listed at all. I love the fabric, designs and the comfort. Currently my favorite.
I also love the Cuore brand. Voler, Pactimo, and Louis Garneau kits. I keep these on hand and are really nice IMO, the Specialized and Suarez stuff gets an honorable mention as well. Anything I don't love gets Ebayed pretty quick.
I've been dieing to try out Black Sheep, TICCC, Sako7, Void, ALE, Wattie Ink, Cadence, MAAP, and Blur. But that's getting expensive quick LOL.

The best hot weather jersey I own is the Voler Black Label.
