Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I tried 28s on my 2006 Bianchi 928, and they JUST BARELY fit. The brakes barely open enough, and once pounded in there's maybe 2-4mm of clearance under the brake bolts F and R, so any time I picked any mud or road debris I'd hear "shikshikshik" till it came off. I gave up and put 25s on it again.

I do wonder whether the Litespeed would handle 28s but I have no issues with lack of comfort on it - not cushy, but not a jackhammer either. The Canyon, with lots of carbon seatpost exposed plus a 2020 CF frame and 28s is my cushiest ride. Also my fastest. But I still find myself reaching for the Litespeed.

Well, at least you know what you want if you have another custom frame built - clearance! Mind you, if I had to get a custom, and I had the foldy/spendy, I'd pay a visit to Marostica and get something from Officina Battaglin. But they'd probably talk me into 12speed Campy.....

Without actually trying it, any sense on whether this is likely to rub?? Reminder the frame is Ti so I do NOT expect much flex there despite my massive guads.
Same issue. Colorable reason to get a new bike some day.

This post sent me down the YouTube rabbit hole.I used to watch the NBA playoffs every year. It's been awhile though. I am a bit of a Miami Heat fan though, so I might make an effort to watch the finals.

IMO, wide tyres are overrated for folks in your weight bracket.

Most people think I'm behind the times for running 23s on my road bikes, but I prefer to think I'm on the cutting edge of the inevitable moment in time when 21-23 is preferred again, approx 2034, if we still have roads by then

You say that, but most of the pros riding 28s in the Giro right now are in his weight bracket.

According to "Back to the Future", we should have no longer needed roads 8 years ago.

Which way did you go up?
We possibly rode by your front door. Our route took us through Veterans Park, and up May Canyon Rd. That climb was tough, and made tougher by not being able to shift into my lowest gear all day.

Return to Work form filled out by cardiologist. Going to submit it tomorrow.

Target date is 6/1, but that will likely get pushed because one of our parent companies has to approve it.

Plus, they had massive changes during the season and most of us didn't think they would get past Golden State. I don't think they have an answer for Denver.

Despite going deeper into the playoffs than expected, there are already trade and coaching change rumors.
Local media thinks it’s time to blow up the roster. They just got the coach after a scandal with our previous coach. He guided them to a #2 seed after having a great first half of the season.

And there’s a lot of talk about how Miami “managed” their players through the regular season so they would be fresh for a playoff run. I don’t know if any of that’s true, but I’m sick of hearing about it.

I only tuned in because of the Celtics. It’s not like I’m watching other games, but I’ll probably catch the Finals, or at least parts of it.

I'm close enough to the park to hear guys playing Frisbee golf from my living room. There is a lot of 10% on that climb so a low gear is helpful.

When you get to the top instead of turning right to Camp 9, if you go left it's about 7 or 8 miles to the end of Newhall Ave, at the 14 freeway. A couple miles down is the turn to Wilson Canyon (left) which takes you to the hospital. If you turn right there is a nice singletrack into Placerita canyon.

That's a nice-looking trail. None of our dirt was in that good a condition. From Camp 9, we descended to Little T, turned on Kagel Canyon (dirt), and took that down the top of Lopez Canyon.

I am not sure it's realistic, but for my patients who have missed work due to prolonged illness, I typically suggest 1/2 time the first 1-2 weeks before you go full time.

Non-corded?
I gave up working with corded tools when I lopped off the end of my index finger with the table saw. It was a positive move all around.

It's not all like that, some of it is loose and rocky and I haven't been on it since the rains.
I always enjoy Wilson canyon but some of it is pretty rough and it changes with the rain, too. They graded it during one of the fires and made it smooth but it's been getting it's old personality back. Some of it looks like this.
