My friend with the Taycan uses a sea-sucker bike rack. I call it something else that is probably censored. I also joke with him that he only wishes he could trade cars and drive the Saturn. He is very good natured about it.

Tell him you'd be happy to take care of his McLaren next time he is out of town, and will do a carbon cleanse while you are at it.

Any Addict home cooks care to weigh in on the following?
Received a 12" All-Clad D3 (stainless with aluminum core) skillet last week. All-Clad has a factory sale going on and I see that I can get the Copper Core 12" skillet for about ~$70 more (regular price would be something like $150 more). Jump on it for the lifetime cookware or put the skillet upgrade money towards bike crap?

The other point is, All-Clad copper core cookware had a decorative cut in the outer stainless above the base, so you can see the copper. Like all copper, it tarnishes constantly, and while it's beautiful for a brief time after you polish it (I use Barkeeper's Friend), as soon as you put it on the flame, it'll start turning brown and ugly.
I have 4 old French tin-lined copper pans, really heavy copper that I got when I was young and single and had more dollars than sense. They're fantastic for cooking, but keeping them beautiful is quite a chore, and they are so heavy that there's no way Mrs. GeneJockey could use them.
EDIT: And all 4 need retinning. Try finding a place to do that.

Monday we learned that the company will be closing down our site over the next 9 months. I personally am being retained but my group will be laid off. Now I have to put together a plan for closing down my group after 10 years. Just writing up the plan is making me upset.
I'm being offered remote work or relocation, though not immediately.
And what with one thing and another, including talking for a long time to a coworker/friend who IS being laid off, I haven't been able to ride yet this week, so I'm about to crawl outta my skin.

I switch seatpost, saddle and saddlebag between bikes. Talk about liberating. Having all the same size seatposts is the way to go. Back when I still had four bikes active, I was still able to do it.

Today the humidity did not go away as the day warmed up. I came home from my ride in a wet jersey, and an hour later I came home from the bank(by bike) in a wet t-shirt. It remains steamy out there. The only thing left is the 21st afternoon thunderstorm in a row. A rainy season of old. I wonder how long it's been. It's fine, if you don't have to drive anywhere.

No, the CSO came out here from MD for that, since the site is all Research. And they're not being laid off today. We have a couple months to finish up things, transfer materials, and clean up.

I worked for a guy who modified turbo Porsches and built high horsepower big block Chevy v-8s. The same guy who got a ticket for going 90mph with the front wheels a foot and a half off the ground in his drag car which he took on the street on a Sunday morning, Anyway his wife's parents bought her and her sister new Corvettes for some reason. The sister got hers stolen and when it was recovered it became my project to fix it up. This involved a lot of test driving and I had fun with that car.

First time I saw "NBD" on the "Canyon Endurace NBD" thread, I thought it meant "No Big Deal", and I thought it was going to a negative review.

In addition to the Trek cockpit issue on Mrs. Trainsnorter's new bike, there's been the Canyon cockpit issue, and the creaking seapost issue on the Aeroad, and I'm sure there are other similar issues out there. It does make one wonder whether the industry might rethink proprietary parts, much as they've rethought pressfit BBs.

In other news, my youngest found out today that he will be gainfully employed after graduating in December. Pay raise forthcoming for dad!
