Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My favorite is the Monterey area. We took The Boys to the Aquarium there a number of times, but it's also lots of fun for grownups. Plus there are miles of beaches, etc.

The last time my middle sister and my BIL visited we went there via San Juan Bautista, where they preserved the plaza of the old town. from the Spanish Mission days. It features prominently in "Vertigo", though not by name and the church doesn't actually have a tower like the one Kim Novak falls from.

Found it. I think the fork graphics might be too much for me. And the price. $1000 is kinda steep IMO

Thanks. Was... reasonable. Hectic of course. Made it to Amarillo to pass out shortly. Saw a car blow a tire and smash into the median in front of me just past Wichita Falls and then went through a powerful storm right after Vernon. At least I'm a little past halfway and the much better half.
