Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Because I’m fully dressed and waiting on my son to get here so we can go to dinner. Exercise and related activities will have to wait.

Critics out in force today. So it goes.

Had a boring, but peaceful quasi-jog at sunset. Now listening to the organ recital. #VeloVolZen

I just watched Donnie Darko on Youtube. With that format, there are comments that suggest possible meanings. One such comment suggests he killed Frank(who was driving the car), went through the portal to the past and then died in her place. Does that help? Another suggests he saw the future through a wormhole and decided not to live it. Yet another suggests he was supposed to die in the first place, when the jet engine landed in his room, but he was out sleepwalking. His not being killed according to plan begins the collapse of the timeline.

I got the 27.5 x 2.8 tires with 160/150 mm travel bike because I was hoping it would bail me out when my lack of skill set in. Lots of slippery, baked dry stuff around and loose rocks. The thing is great for that but I have more trouble with deep sand than my old bike with 2.3s. If I can keep the power on it's better but sometimes I can't do that.

If it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger.
Note: running/jogging is stupid. You're welcome.

The wind was shaking the house about an hour ago but seems to have calmed some. We planned a ride into a wind prone area. Hoping the calm prevails.
