Like "slumlord" I also have a Fuji Absolute 1.0 but it being an '06 model, in addition to the carbon fork, it has carbon seat stays. Fuji later had to go back to aluminum seat stays to keep the price down. I also got my dealer to include a carbon seat post. Got a tremendous deal on it as I purchased it from new, old stock in 2008, for just $750. Has a full Shimano 105 group set, including special 105 trigger shifters.

This is one of the smoothest riding bikes I've ever ridden.

linked with bigger picture for prosperity's sake. nice ride! could be actually taken lots of directions (drop bar conversion, monster cross, super commuter, touring, ect ect)... or just keep it the way it is...again, nice ride.

Thanks runningDoc. I have since swapped handlebars to ones with just a bit more rise, changed the grips over to ones with a palm rest, and added Cane Creek ergo bar ends. I was having a bit of a problem with some tendonitis in my thumbs and these changes helped a lot.

I commented on its smooth ride. I don't know exactly what Fuji did, but even when compared to other bikes with similar features, even all carbon fiber bikes, the ride is incredibly smooth. Road vibrations are extremely damped. I test rode some very nice bikes, like the Jamis Coda Elite, a Gunnar, Trek 7.7 FX, and more, and all of them transmitted more vibration into my hands. Not to say that this makes it a better bike, but I really liked that aspect of it. And you can't even come close to it now at the price I paid - not many new bikes at $750 with a 105 group set. Road bike gearing as it has a 52/39/30 triple crank with a 12-27 10-speed cassette.

I even liked how Fuji was much more subtle with their decal, using an outline font rather than giant, solid letters, on the frame.

I actually bought it in the middle of Feb...I got it it for a good price tho, $469...It came out to $500 with CA taxes...I still got it on sale tho, cause it was the 2011 model...

It took me a while to post pics cause I had to get the back wheel replaced cause of a squeaking issue with the old one, plus the bar ends added and the new tires...So she's all good and great now

I love this bike. It's a pretty light hybrid (about 23-24 lbs). Pretty quick and responsive.

I'm loving the Topeak DXP trunk bag so far...I was suprised at how small it was considering it's their largest MTX bag that they offer, but it suits my needs just fine...I don't do any heavy shopping, so it's fine for the few things I get from the store when I make a quick trip...
