Of course, I already ride some of the sections around here. One of the connecting projects was to add a protected lane down the middle of Erie Boulevard, a busy shopping district. I'll have to check that out.

Are you sure that we way ahead of the game? I live in California where Comrade N is still shutting down businesses and eating at The French Laundry.
We are still screwed, but thanks for the political post in a non-political forum.

I saw a YouTube video of a small group of riders who rode from Montreal to NYC in 2 days. They were serious cyclists, though. Lemme find a link...

Since the road bike is still out of commission, went for a 3 mile hike in the woods. 300' elevation change between high and low spots, with lots of up and down in between. Lots of roots and uneven rock trail surfaces. About a seven pound pack with water and camera gear (didn't take a snap). More whooped than after a 30 mile ride. Got to get into better shape.

There is always a new iteration in the works. It never ends. Have to jump in sometime.

That, plus I still have a few 10s chains/cassettes etc., to last another season or two.

I know, I know. But there are rumors of a semi-wireless Di2 (wireless shifters, one battery wired to FD and RD) which would work great with the Habanero as is not set up for internal cables.

My common walking route is about three miles and I have never once even thought about taking water, even in July. SMH

Cycling content not worthy of the datlas thread.
I am consistent over the past 4 years. In 2017, 2019 and 2020 I rode 225, 224 and 226 times. I had to throw out 2018 because I lost about 7 weeks with pneumonia followed up by a virus.
I don't ride far but I ride frequently. I decided on a ride in December that I would ride less frequently in 2021 but increase the ride length. This will accomplish 2 things. More free days during the ~ 8 months of daylight savings time and "Stretch me out some" so when I retire I will be ready to longer rides once I have the time.
Next year I plan to do 195 rides and hit the same mileage. I only have to increase my average ride by 3 miles. This should be possible with my wife working from home. I won't have to get home as soon to walk the pooch. That is almost 1 less ride per week to experience life.
Thought I'd share

Yes, similar to Trsnrtr I started with a journal, then a spreadsheet then let the Garmin do the heavy lifting. Every ride since 1989.
(Now, I download it from Garmin connect as needed.)
