Ralliegh Supercourse road bike - $295 (Janesville)

Date: 2010-06-29, 7:46AM CDT
Reply to: sale-2jszz-1816827993@craigslist.org

This bike was originally bought at michael's cycles bike shop in Janesville. at the time of purchase, it was one of the stores higher end road bikes. full aluminum frame. This years model "supercourse" is a full carbon fiber frame, and runs in the thousands of dollars range. This bike was made in the usa, something that modern road bikes don't have in common unless you spend over 5 thousand dollars. the bike comes with shoes specific to the aftermarket pedals on it, which were also bought at michaels cycles. If you pick up the bike, you'll be impressed with how light it is, and if you test ride it, you'll fall in love with how fast it is.

contact me via email, or text me at 608-201-6730

thanks,
Joe

i would really question the use of a fisheye lens in an ad. Does seem like they're trying to hide something.

If I needed another fixed gear then I would get this one for sure. Ya gotta love the sellers name though and the material.

Project Bike for the Non-Elitist - comes with back travel rack! - $25 (Amherst, MA)
Date: 2010-06-29, 7:13AM EDT
Reply to: sale-bvqjv-1816764165@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Okay, the rack alone I am selling for $15. The bike itself is only worth $10. Seriously. It is a Huffy, and old, thus, it's pretty junky. I will admit, though, that it has lived a very good life. I absolutely love it, but I have another bike and this one is taking up space.
What I mean by "project bike for the non-elitist" is that, it's a Huffy.
WARNING: Unless you are a bike mechanic and know what you're doing (can fix this bike up for cheap), DO NOT BUY THIS BICYCLE. It may kill you. This is not a bike for the impressionable. If you're looking for a cheap bike, that is halfway decent, please go to Dick's Sporting Goods. You'll find cheap, but not $10 cheap. You get what you pay for, and $10 cheap is about as good as a broken down Huffy from the 80's that is all rusty, w/ wheels out of true, heavy as a tank, etc.
Now that we're past the disclaimer,
This bike is a mountain bike - Model: Rock Trail, and it is a 14 speed. It could be a real classic for the true Huffy enthusiast.

It must be a spoof of the other raleigh CL ad for the $100 rusty bike that gets listed everyday:

I emailed him saying if he gave me the bike and 5 grand, I could fix his foundation. After being informed it was a joke, he informed me he took the pics with his friends skydiving camera. I'm not sure if he's trying to be different, or just silly.,,,,BD

LOL, from the Dallas/Ft. Worth CL...

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bik/1821951965.html

WTB Housewife in SUV repellent!! - $1000000 (Dallas/ north dallas)

Looking for some type of light, horn or gas that will repel housewives in SUV's.
Must work on double A batteries or be a wireless system. Women in Dallas cannot understand that there are other people on the road, like bicycles, other than
Themselves.
If I have to deal with another mom getting within 5 feet from killing me when I'm riding my white bicycle on the median or on the right lane, I'm going to maybe have to put up my bike for good.

The last thing I want to see in the last few seconds of my life, while laying on the ground bleeding to death, is a SUV flying away and having to stare at Mandy, Mindy,Madison,Devon,Chelsea or Monica pasted on the bottom right back corner of a window with that mediocre white pasty colored sticker above a goddamned soccer ball or football. Please. I ride my bike because I love to ride, and it's my way of staying in decent shape.

So you housewives, in your escalades with 22 inch chrome wheels and UT Longhorn badges, please don't look at me like I'm a 2nd rate citizen because I don't drive a 3 ton automobile. I'm sorry I'm getting in your way to going to a facial or going to north park mall. Yes. I am sweaty. And yes I'm wearing a weird looking cap, it's a bicycle cap, that's in a language you can't read. I'm a human too.
I understand you are on a very important phone call. Just please. Don't kill me.

Your husband wouldn't be very happy with you if he had to get my blood and guts off that beautiful pearl colored paint of yours. And. I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate removing my recently torn off foot that's in a bloody and tattered chucks, out of your chrome brush guard.

I may be one of your kids. I may be a brother. But I'm just a dude that looks forward to riding his bike to work or around town.

I'm still looking for a repellent against you women. We appreciate you gals, for raising your kids, and making sure your kids are safe in your fifty thousand dollar chromed out Brink tanks. But please, we have moms too. They would miss us if we were dead. Pay attention to the road.

Will travel to you for repellent.

Thanks
