Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think poorly adjusted bearing preload is why I got those Fulcrum 600s for a good price - they were REALLY TIGHT when I got them, the front especially. You have to adjust them so there's ONLY JUST no play with the QR or TA at the pressure you'd ride at. No wobble if you push the rim side to side, just the flexing of the spokes. Definitely not a *thunk* as you move it. So, it's an annoying, fiddly adjustment, esp with cup and cone, since you need to use two wrenches, then put it in the dropouts, tighten it down, and test it. Lather, rinse, repeat until the wheel turns as freely as possible with no play.

Annoying and fiddly, but when it's right... Sweet!

Holy hell, that's the worst case of upturned bars I've ever seen with brifters. How do you even use those?

EDIT: Gotta say, though - the Brooks saddle and the upturned bars seem all of a piece, but maybe that's just me.

The enve are nice, and if you got the aero stem to go with it. Sizzling.

Want to keep Blendr system. I like having nothing clamped to the bars.

Nah. There was a big storm that stopped flying for a few hours and caused a bunch of chaos. I got booted from my flight so some other big shot could get home, 3 of us actually. No voucher, no meal, no refund , nothing. I was pretty happy with them.

might be better to back off the cones a tad. Then you can tighten the skewer fully.

The Dr. Should have to prove his fitness before he can call out mine! I can say that now that my Dr. Is older than me. The one before this was an Iron man so I was happy he didn't make me work out during the exam.

Hope you and Grams are feeling better.
