The review I was referring to was in the December 1990 edition of Bicycle Guide, pages 52 - 57. Review of Paramount OS & Paramount OS-26 (26” wheeled version).

What's kind of funny is that I don't even have a frame to put it all on.
So...what early 90's frame might I seek that had a Dura Ace groupset on it as standard equipment?

PS: These brakes have to be one of the sweetest components I've ever seen!

Miyata would be the no brainer choice - Team or Pro model.

I only saved articles that I liked, and the ones about the Paramounts were among those. The brief fad of 26" wheels struck me as odd back then, and still seems like someone trying to introduce a new gimmick to boost road bike sales. If they only knew that this young Armstrong kid was about to make road biking fashionable again! ... until the stuff hit the fan and he was disgraced.
oh well, you win some and you lose some.

I hate to hijack this thread, but I wonder why BG did 2 reviews of the Paramount within months of each other? The bike in the earlier article looks far more like a mid-80s Para, with its solid color.

Well, Bicycle Guide waited a whole 9 or 10 months to do a review on the Paramount Series 3 in the Sept 1991 issue.
It includes a 26" version too, so that fad hadn't died a quick death just yet.
