We are hitting the 90s where the seasonal average is the 70s. We aren’t well acclimated for 90+ so got in a short morning hill climb workout. Did a piddling 20 miles with 1,600’ gain. With one long climb at 14 to 16% which kicked my @$$. Ran into the wife of a friend, whom I never met, while she was walking her golden doodle. Then ran into a fellow Stravaite doing his workout. Then encountered a guy doing his first bike packing trip and was heading home. He had a good time even though he encountered rain in the desert. Then saw a guy bombing the 2 mile steep hill I came up who looked, hair and all, like SAFA. Very social ride.

was less standing moiiist today, but a lack of time dampened the ride.

Twenty miles this morning. Twenty five last Thursday and twenty three days earlier. I'd like to do a fifty miler before the end of the fall but at the age of seventy five I find it more and more difficult to do long distances without being totally wiped out.

42 yesterday, 64 today.

Been doing a bunch of 20-40 mile rides all year, building up now for a century in a month or so.

With the never ending construction projects cropping up & "school" coming back in session, it'll be a bit more cumbersome to net the time for such longer rides.

This fall will be it will be a mess. I’m not sure of their schedule. From the Yorktown NP to the Victory Center it was closed for construction. I had to the turn around at Queens Lake today but there is a sign about Jamestown. I’ll just stick to Cap Trail, upper Gloucester and seek some more Gravel up in King & Queen area. And mountain bike.

Another warm one in Seattleville. Did 3/4 road 1/4 gravel. 28 flat ones staying in the shade for 1/2 of the ride. Saw Yaks - below and an interesting would carving on the river side where native Americans used to inhabit.

After work ride today. It was a cool 80 F but the humidity so high my Garmin 1030 was going crazy. I had to lock the screen. As I road I watched to swap data cells on the main screen. Eyes were getting torn up by the sweat. Was 90% humidity. oh road 23 miles on the road.

I decided to get a ride in while I wait for the winds of this hurricane to come by for a few hours tomorrow. The humidity was so thick and heavy, at 9 pm, it was 86 outside, but felt like 98. So inside ride for me. Luckily I will not get the full force, so I hope everyone has taken precautions as they need to. I don't know how you folks do the multiple mountain passes, my legs are burned up today. Got in 34 miles and 5900 ft of ascent. Painfully long time to be on a trainer, but I pushed through and got it done.

I didn't even plan to ride today because the weather wasn't that great. However, things turned around and at 4:00pm I set off and ended up doing 32 miles. Not bad for a day that was originally going to be zero miles day.

Did 13.5 yesterday during some of the storm, lost power, which, I was really ok with, as my legs were still sore from the day before. Got in 53 today and 1.2k of climbing
