Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cute video, but I am thinking this was staged somehow, maybe they had a thin string or other object dangling at the right time/location.

I was asleep before 8 last night. Central Time. I blame it on COVID. Once I tire myself out for the day, nothing will bring me back. Including more and more coffee. What tired me out yesterday? An hour on the bike and an hour and a half weed eating.
Sad!

With my comment in between, hence the question of context.

Quoting for context isn't overuse. There's a guy that like to nest quotes multiple layers deep - that's overuse (and obnoxious).

Honestly it probably does not matter, but go with what works best for your application.

He disappeared from BF a while ago. The one thing I liked about his posts was that as soon as I saw those nested quotes, I knew I could speed right past and skip to the next post.

I thought that I'd seen him within the last year or so, but maybe I'm mistaken. I don't think that he showed up much in Road, anyway, but yeah - I learned that lesson pretty quickly, too. The first couple of times that I read through were a waste.

The Older Boy's then Girlfriend used to work at Williams Sonoma. She was forever gifting us with stuff from there. Most of it came with some bowl, or tin, or something that, honestly, we already have too many/much of. I guess those sorts of things are fine for folks just starting out, who don't already have a kitchen full of stuff, but if, like us, your kitchen is full already, you put on your best forced smile and say thank you, and hope she doesn't expect to see you using the thing in the future.

Nathan Haas will ride this very cool Colnago at Unbound Gravel this weekend. Sagan will be there among the heavies.

I never met him, but had some professional overlap in real life. Interesting guy, but the posts were unreadable.
