Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Easy but chilly recovery ride done. Temps actually went down the first 1-2 hours of the ride. I appreciated my electric gloves.

Looks like Bammo has a lock on the leaderboard again. I might stay on the podium and almost certainly can get KOM.

I had to look close, for a second I thought someone had used an old photo of me dunking, without my permission.

I don't know if this is ok here but.... I had an XRay appointment this morning at 8. A delightful drive into and through the city. After, I met my wife for breakfast down in tourist central, before going to the beach for lunch The woman at the next table, dressed in workout shorts and a tight sleeveless top, and then the first two we passed after exiting the building were drop dead gorgeous. Drop. Dead. Dressed in their summer clothes. I couldn't say anything to the wife of course. I managed to keep my tongue in my mouth.

Why are you getting an X-ray early on Sunday morning?

Wise decisions. Know that all married men have felt your pain.

Dad apparently tested positive for Covid on the 17th and symptoms on the 18th. Didn't start Paxlovid because of "talking with the doctor and deciding the 'bad effects' weren't worth it". All this per my sister, whom he tells a lot more about these things than me. He is not in great health already. Hopefully he pulls through like y'all who've had it recently.

I don't think Datlas is a fan of Paxlovid either.

Hope he gets thru it quickly.

If you have RA, yes. Many patients respond very well to it. YMMV
