@Schreck83, I've never seen one like that. I have a 1971 model in green. Do you have more pictures of yours?

If you mean the blue 1970, yes. There’s a link to another thread at the bottom of my post 2072 above. 👍

@no67el Is your Super Course from 1973? I'll be picking up a SC that looks exactly like yours and I'm trying to pin down the year — it's also missing the two stripey silver decals on the seat tube, which all of the other 70s models seem to have. Maybe they fell off?

Love my 70 ish green Super Course, commuted on it for 6 years , strong and sturdy 531 straight gauge, was a well used frame when I got it, Never attracted to much attention when parked in downtown Reno at night while I worked.

This is my ‘72 that I’ve been enjoying for a couple of years. Has it been two years? Geeze, hard to say. It’s a beautiful bike, though not many of the original parts were there when I got it, and most of what was there is now in a box. I’m thinking of moving it along, and figured I’d put the feelers out to any potential Forum members who wanted to join the cool club of Super Course riders. I did a pretty detailed build thread called Rummage Sale Super Course which would answer most questions.

Beautiful SC there, makes me miss my ‘79, from back in the day. Even had white Blummel fenders on mine, used it to commute to university here.

My 1971-72 Raleigh Super Course. I found the frame and a few bits at a local Kiwanis bike program. I commuted for a number of years on this bike. This renew sports a Alfine 11 IGH, 44mm Schwalbe Big Bens. I love this bike, strong like bull.

Picked up on local Facebook marketplace. Someone has tinkered a little with it, but mostly a survivor...

Geometry of Super Courses Mark.1

Hello,

I had a chance to compare different frames of Earlier Super Courses with Nervex lugs ('72 I believe) to a Capella lugged Super Course. Both frame were same size. But I noticed that Seat Tube was quite a bit of difference between the frames. BB is lower on Capella and ST is little more forward, wheelbase is slightly shorted on Capella too! And forks shorter on Capella! Please see the dimensions of you are interested. I can't wait to build this Capella frame and try it out! I like that it's slightly lower and longer comparing to my nervex SC. Off topic: does anyone have a campy High Flange front hub by any chance laying around? Thats the last bit I'm missing to complete the set for this bike. Thanks!

How do the wheelbase measurements compare to each other?

They are the same. Maybe just 1-2mm discrepancy.

Thanks. Do you recall the measurements? I have a '72 SC frame with a 40" wheelbase which is very tight, I suspect the fork may be bent.

With a very rough estimate my 73 is about 41.5"

Thank you, that sounds about right. I have a spare SC fork that nlerner was kind enough to send me a while ago, I'll go ahead and make the switch then remeasure.

This came to me very rough, with the chrome too far gone to save. Blasted/coated with new graphics and drivetrain tweaks:

Does anyone have a spare Super Course fork by any chance? I just noticed while refurbishing my frameset that fork steerer is cracked...
