It’s not the debris issue in your case, it’s inflammation spreading from an affected sinus to the Eustachian tube, blocking it, and putting mechanical pressure on the inner ear.

I generally limit my interactions with other riders to using them as rabbits for motivation.

I don’t plan on renewing zwift this year, I don’t mind the cold or the cold rain, once Simon is born I will have to figure something out. I imagine I can do intervals using the free wahoo app and erg mode, just increasing the setting on the app, like wise set up zone 2 rides that way as well. I really don’t know what to expect as far as my riding time will go. In my head I picture 15 mins whenever I get a chance. I am hoping I will be allowed outside every now and then, but i’ll prolly be limited to an hour, 90 mins max. It will be a big adjustment for sure. This is also why I am focusing on so much volume now. My monthly mileage has increased since May, and I hope I can keep that up til the due date.

Same. That said, one of my friends tells me he can pop on a movie DVD and ride a dumb trainer for 2 hours. That's dedication. I would give up after 10 minutes.

Most of my Zwift rides are with the C-bot (2.5 w/kg) which is a nice tempo effort level for me. When I'm feeling decent, I will usually end up in a splinter group off the front working at 2.7+. I like the bot groups because I can joint and quit any time I like, whereas group rides starting at a specific time often don't fit with my schedule. When I'm feeling like something structured, a planned routine is erg mode is very effective. On occasion, I will just ride and see how it goes. Pretty frequently, I'll end up riding with a few others who are working at the same level. If I'm solo, I'm probably chasing a rabbit up the road. This is how I do it. You do you.

Epley maneuvers work great for migratory crystals.

Then I set up at home with my laptop running YouTube videos through the TV in the garage, and that made a big difference. I could ride a lot longer with less concentration. One set of videos I found showed the gradient, which allowed me to mimic it with gear changes. I also found a local rider's videos, taken on a number of roads I ride all the time. Since I know what each segment feels like, I adjusted my gears and effort to match.
Then I got on Zwift, initially with the dumb trainer and ZPower, but later with a smart trainer and that's WAY better. So much more like riding IRL. I've done 2+ hours on Zwift without significant distress. Mind you, my cousin's kid (Kid? He's in his 40s!) did a Century on Zwift.

Yeah, that was one problem I had with Wahoo SYSTM - there were visuals, but they weren't tied to my pedaling. I used to ride without visuals apart from cadence and HR on my head unit, using a dumb trainer, but I could barely last 40 minutes, and that was with loud rock music on earbuds (B52s have a nice fast beat for 90+ cadence).

I have a dumb trainer which I used sometimes while I was working. I could stay on it 30 or 40 minutes watching tv. Longer if there was football, but not much longer.
