It weighs around 1500 grams. It is a triace (yes I know a China bike), and its only around 8 years old. The Frame is very strong as well and I love the ride and feel of it. I've put 1000s of miles on this bike. With the new wheels, the total weight of the bike will come in around 14 pounds. It already has carbon fork, carbon seat stay, integrated carbon handle bars, and it's a 1x9 with a modern deore groupset. Everything but the wheels are modern and up to date.
You know what? Had you provided this information from the start many of the snarky replies might never have happened. People assume because they have inadequate information from the beginning

Same goes for OP's other threads.

Good for you man. Sounds great. I didn't mean to sound so snarky. I was just basically thinking about what would be of concern to me. Sounds like you already checked those boxes.

If you don't input useful data people will do what they do on the internet. If you haven't visited the internet welcome, but know it is a brutal place where people will say and do just about anything good or bad. However interaction becomes worse when met with lack of information and people wanting odd things from that lack of information.

Modern 9 speed? XTR 9 speed came out in 2002 (20 years ago) XTR 10 speed came out in 2010 (12 years ago) we are currently in the 12 speed era and Deore is 10-12 speed with some of that 11 speed stuff being shared on the 10 speed side. Nothing against 9 speed (have several bikes running 9 speed) but it is not really modern anymore or current the highest end 9 speed gruppo in normal Shimano is Alivio. Also nothing against Deore either it is a good solid entry level parts someone can actually go mountain biking with and enjoy themselves. If I can swing it I would rather have SLX but if I was truly starting out in cycling on the MTB or trekking side Deore is solid and will last well. Plus with a modern 12 speed groupset I can have a lot of the latest and greatest with some extra weight and a little less performance but still do pretty well and have something worth upgrading if needed or wanted.
