If the freewheel unscrews without having to be built back up as a wheel it would be nice. There is some nice stuff here for a $50

Yep. Not a Competition. My guess is a low end rider that someone repainted or re-decaled.
The freebie up a ways is DEFINITELY a Triathlon though.

I'd like to propose a new thread of this exact same variety, except for us up on this side of the border. Maybe it could be called "Are you looking for one of these!?" - Canadian Edition
Living North of the border, most of the items posted in this thread are down South and having to sift through all the stateside listings to find something on this side of the border takes a lot of time to do. And, time is of the essence with some of these for sale postings.
Many times, the listings are Facebook ones. Too bad, as many don't have Facebook and therefore can't contact the seller unless the ad body has phone or email info included.

A quick look on a phone would certainly have fooled me! I had to look more to see it. The brakes, no lugs, seatpost I saw only after looking more carefully.

So it's "double-trouble" in the SF Bay Area this weekend, cause there is ALSO a clearance sale over in Berkeley at Street Level Cycles AKA Waterside Workshops on the estuary at 84 Bolivar Dr, Bezerkly CA 94710. They go from Noon til 4pm. I could not resist (but should have) since this is my favorite Co-op in the area. They didn't have that MUCH for sale Saturday by the time I got there but what they did have was priced to MOVE. One frameset that caught my eye was a metallic magenta Bertoni 52cm square with some extras (stem, HBs and seatpost I think) might be Columbus Cromor since that's what the forkblades seem to say, but...2-digit asking price! And I bet they'd take an offer tomorrow! I did not take any pix but if you're local check them out AND the Bike Kitchen!
Bikes are okay, I guess.

Doh! Maybe I misread the tag, sorry if I gave you a bum steer! If it was Cromor then $150 is not a bargain. Maybe they are not my favorite Co-op after all...BUT I got a hela nice wheelset (not perfect, but...) for $30 on Saturday!

I could very well be wrong on this.. But it looks like a rear rack from an early 80s Miyata One Thousand. I've seen a few of these bikes pop up here without racks. For any of you missing a rack on your 1000, this might be a factory piece.

Assuming no loose lugs $150 for the frame set and sell the parts
https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/bi...392440824.html
It’s a fixed gear bike set up with no brakes. Riding this way requires some skill. This special frameset is the “screw & glue” style which provides a really smooth ride. The frame flexes with its rider in a way a welded frame cannot.
Bike comes as pictured. It needs new tires/tubes.
It could use new grips and seat, but not necessary.

$125 or a Cessna 172 gets you a 531 tubed Trek.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/594318545087903
Trek Elance
$125
Trek Elance bicycle – this is a classic bike. The blue metal flake paint really sparkles! It has Reynolds 531 tubing. The forks are chrome moly. The derailiers and brakes are by Shimano. It is a 12 speed bike. I measured the down tube to be 20", but perhaps it's only 19". It has clip on pedals. It does not have a kick stand, therefore it is leaning against a guide wire in my yard. The tires are flat and I don’t have the right inflater to fill them. Bring and inflater or something that I can attach to my air compressor and will can put some air in them. You can take it for a quick spin around my neighborhood. If you are looking for a classic bike to add to your collection or just want to get into a road bike at a low cost, this is the bike for you. I think $125.00 is a fair price. Feel free to convince me otherwise. As with all of the items that I am listing, I am willing to trade it for a Cessna 172.
