Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I agree the culprit is torque, but don't you have it backwards? If the speed is the same, then 70 rpm will necessarily be at higher torque than 100 rpm.

That's why I said "forgetting about rear wheel output..." High torque at 100 will obviously result in mucho mas watts than 70 at low torque.

I've never noticed any of my gifs being blocked.

Perhaps they just displayed in my browser and no one else could see them, but they've always been there.

Oh, I see. Sure. But then what's the bottom line? Low cadence is blamed for knee trouble because folks who pedal slowly still want to go fast, i.e. high torque. Sure the low cadence and high torque are unfairly conflated, but not that unfairly. The two commonly occur together.

You're a scientist. You're not supposed to conflate.

I feel pretty much the same about posting a gif as I do about the possibility of owning a crabon bike.

Ugh, I hated Chrissy... and I hated that I still thought that she was hot despite hating her.

Cortana is no longer speaking to me. She doesn't listen to me either. If I type something into the search box, an answer appears in print but if I tap on the microphone and ask a question or speak a search term then the app crashes. This just started after the latest Windows Phone update. Oh and she's only tracking two of my USPS packages. Thanks, Microsoft.

I was riding through the 'hood at dusk and saw a bush with lights ahead.

"Christmas lights?" I wondered.

But when I got closer I saw that there's straw and a jack-o'-lantern in the middle of the yard. So I guess they're dumb Halloween lights. @LAJ
