And for triple bonus points, ask about steel vs carbon.

Crazy week at work. Everything turned out to be complicated. And I still have one more day to go...
Doglet has been intermittently vomiting. She's 13 years old now, so took her in to check a few things out. Nothing major so far, liver looked a little funky so she had a needle aspirate taken. Probably nothing, results tomorrow.
First TT of my series is Sunday. We'll see how it goes. I've been a little distracted by the mountain bike lately.
Speaking of which: a friend will be up in Big Bear this weekend, my new favorite place to mountain bike. She asks me if I want to come up for a ride. It's a 2-2.5 hour drive each way. The only day I could go up (on account of the race) is Sunday post-race. It would be: leave house at 7:30am, race at 9am, leave around 10am (before results are announced), go home, shower, hit the road by 11am. Riding by 2pm, done by 5pm. Drive home, eat dinner around 7:30, shower & go to bed. Mon is a rest day. I have to work but I can relatively sleep in until 6am or so.
Too much? I'd really like to do it but that turns Sunday into a really full day...
The following weekend we're in Catalina then the weekend after that Tahoe for a conference (with MTB both weekends).

Bikes make me greedy.
There is a new mtb park up near Arrowhead, have you heard about it?
SkyPark Bike Park - SkyPark at Santa's Village
It has no lifts, you just climb up to the top and then descend down. Sounds lame but the trails are supposed to be really fun. There's a progression that you can work your way through, green to black diamond. Skills oriented place.
I think its $30 for the day, way more than free like the trails in Big Bear. But the $30 includes admission to Santa's Village which means you can take your kids and turn them loose in the village to run amok while you ride.
And there's a pub.
Despite how the link makes it seem, the park is open and has been for around a month.
