Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm thinking about selling the Gunnar. Then it would just be down to road, gravel or touring for decisions.

Yeah, its a nice bike.

I'm just not one to keep stuff I don't use typically.

The Black Mountain Cycles bike has replaced it at this point.

Interesting. What do you like about that better than the Gunnar? I really like the combination of a steel frame and the Enve fork. I'd be hard pressed to give up that combination for a steel frame and steel fork.

My painted 2018 Ritchey Road Logic travel bike... shown here in Ho Chi Minh City. Steel is my preferred frame material for travel as I feel more confident about its durability through the rigors of travel and is perfect for the urban exploration-type of riding I like to do. I think it would feel weird to ride my BMC SLR01 through small alleyways in Asia or rural villages where my BMC would stand out. The Ritchey itself is great, in that it's not exotic, and the external cables make it extremely serviceable compared to my internally-routed bikes.

They came from one of the Sports Authority stores that went out of business.

Mine.

My recently completed 1994 Serotta Colorado TG frame (refurbed at the factory in 2011.) Budget build, under 800. Love this ride.
