Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am all out of bourbon, too, so I had to make my figgy Old Fashioned with Bulleit Rye. It was yummy, whiskey notwithstanding.

I usually keep me some Angel's Envy and Woodford Reserve, double-oaked. Eventually I'll re-stock.

That's the first reference I've ever seen to Angel's Envy. We picked up a bottle the first time AG did IMChoo. Sucker for that bottle.

Yeah, he's been hanging around this area for around 5 years, at least. I have seen a hen around a couple times and I heard there is a group of peacocks a mile or 2 from here.
When I lived in the canyon about 5 miles from here there was a group of them and one lady fed them. People were pissed about the noise and the local bulletin board always had angry messages.
They only make noise during the spring when it's mating season but so many people complain that some cities have made it illegal to feed them. L.A. made it illegal last year but I can't imagine them enforcing it. Where I live is about 150 feet from the city limit.

Bur seriously, that soldier was seriously injured before the holiday even arrived. That's by daily sipper, usually an ounce or so before dinner is all I need.
