I went through some recent photos to try and find ones that really illustrate how I was and how I am now... These, I think, do the best.
This is a picture of my on my Birthday in March of this year with my sister.
This photo was taken in April.
This photo was taken this past weekend at my sister's 4th of July Picnic... Please don't ask me what I am doing nor why one of my best friends decided to post this pic on Facebook... Lol.

Here you go; July 19, 2015 and 326.6 lbs
Here you go; July 19, 2015. 326.6 lbs, dressed for riding, bike excluded of course...
I already have done 3 short rides, the last one with my brand new jersey and bike shorts. Thank (insert your deity of choice) for chamois.
I've had a mild stroke on June 17, 2011 but it left damage so minute that I'm the only one to know. No blood pressure issues, no heart issues, no cholesterol issues, and no diabetes. Doctors freak out when I do my annual checkup.
My weight is my issue because I have some mild arthritis; so got to loose weight. My initial goal is to go under 300 lbs so I'm shooting for 299.
Meanwhile, all the best to all that are battling gravity...
UPDATE: April 18, 2016. 299.2 lbs
I'll claim my first goal as my weight is within the tolerance of the scale...
It took a while because I had a non bike related setback; I herniated a disc in my lower back a long time ago (1989), and those things never really heal. I early November the old injury flared up, and pretty much kept me off the trainer until 3 weeks ago. Now I'm back at it, and although my "form" is about where it was 6 months ago according to Strava, it is picking up fairly fast.
Being too sedentary took its toll on the waistline but in preparation to the restart of training I bucked up, and started working on controlling my caloric intake. You can see the swing in trends on the chart below. I did add a 30 day forecast based on the fast trend (7 day moving average), and the slow trend (30 day moving average) to give me an idea of where my habits would lead me in the long run. If someone want the Excel spreadsheet, just message me.
Blood pressure is very nicely under control, as seen in the chart below; without medicine if I may add. Actually I am off all 3 medicines that I was going to have to take for the rest on my live, following a stroke almost 5 years ago. Do not go off your medicine without consulting your doctor, and getting the go ahead. I'm an engineer, not a doctor, I don't give medical advice.
My reward for reaching my first goal is a new bike; I'm getting my 2015 Specialized Diverge Comp Carbon on May 18, and will be sure to post pictures then. The new goal is 274 lbs; I'm thinking about a power metering crank when I get there.
UPDATE: January 31, 2017. 273 lbs
Reaching the 274 lbs goal was slowed down by too much work in October - November - December. That did not allow me to train as much, and fitness suffered. I did start a 6 week FTP builder program which helped me get back on track fitness wise, and to drop a lot of weight. I did alter my nutrition too, mostly to maximize the benefits of training, without muscle ache.
I track my weight daily and have a 30 day forecast based on the fast trend (7 day moving average), and the slow trend (30 day moving average) to give me an idea of where current habits would lead me in the long run. If someone want the Excel spreadsheet, just message me.
Blood pressure is now bouncing about the upper limits of optimal, as seen in the chart below. Resting HR is very nice.
The new goal is 249 lbs; no reward associated with the goal except feeling even better every day.

Six years ago I started riding at about 250 lbs.
AT my first MS150 ride about 3 months later. Down to about 235 lbs. I kept riding and got down to 200 lbs and just couldn't seem to get any lower. In July 2013 I had a wreck on my mtn bike and separated my clavicle from my sternum and fractured several ribs. During my recovery from that I started having problems with my achilles tendons. After a long battle with that in March of this year my achilles were finally doing better and I decided it was time to reclaim my life. I was 215 lbs then. I cut all of the junk out of my diet and got back on the bike.
This was in May. 185 Lbs
Last week at 167 lbs!!!! The bike is my gift to myself for the weigh loss.
I turned 50 in May. My weight has not been this low since my early 20's and I am probably in better shape now than I was then.

I'm 61 yrs old, since 2005 I have had 3 major artery strokes, after the last one in 2013 My fab new doc found out why I was having them (a hole in my heart). I had 2 procedures to fix it.
recovery process was long and last dec. I weighed in at 293. Doc gave me a clean bill of health to start exercising.
Started riding my bike in the spring for fitness. currently I'm at 255lbs. I ride everyday between 12 and 13 miles, sometimes longer. I feel like a million bucks and look forward to weighing in round the 220's. Love this forum and good luck to all my fellow clydesdales, If I could do it, you can

I too had a stroke (2011) but did not really get with the program until this summer. I'm closing on my first goal (299) but won't stop there. I started indoor training season last week and have ridden pretty much everyday. I just started doing intervals with the goal of improving my climbing abilities.

I'm down from 387 to 265lbs in 14 months. My end goal is my pre-cancer surgery weight(cat. 4 rider) 15 years ago of 230 lbs. Besides the many many health benefits(NO MORE KIDNEY STONES), the other ancillary benefits are many - buying new cloths/belts every 30 lbs lost(no more big and tall sections), can fit into booth tables at restaurants, don't need airplane seatbelt extensions, finish yard work without having to stop to catch my breath, enjoy the outdoors again(wade fishing for snook,trout,redfish...), enjoy riding my bike doing half centuries or more again.....!In second pic I'm the 4th from left(tall one)

Updated the initial post.
April 18, 2016.

You gonna eat that?
This is the third or fourth time I've lost 30+ lb. (I keep gaining it back in between.) I started this year at 243. I had to buy a few pairs of 40" waist pants before the holidays because the 38s were simply too, too tight. I didn't take a formal "before" picture but I looked through my Facebook pictures and found a couple that make me cringe a bit.
Squeezing into those shorts... ugh
One of me and the wife
Now I look something like this (taking a selfie with Ft Worth Mayor Betsy Price last week):
I'm down to 36" waist pants, and even those are starting to get loose.
My goal is to leave this thread (i.e., get below 200 lb., maybe 190-195). Right now I'm at 205, so I'm close.
How did I do it? MyFitnessPal for counting calories, plus I gave up alcohol for Lent, and I'm taking National Bicycle Month seriously (riding every day, up to almost 430 miles so far). I've noticed an increase in power-to-weight ratio (same or better power, and less weight) and can keep up with some of the faster cyclists in the groups I ride with.

Nice legs, eh?
