I just finished making my bags, so decided to take a look at the finished product all set up.
They are heavy canvas trimmed with leather and treated with a beeswax and linseed oil mixture for waterproofing.
They will be tested this weekend on my first trip.
I documented the construction of the 4 panniers and handlebar bag on my blog, More Than a Bike; A Journey into the Unknown.

So what panniers are those and more importantly (to me) what is that stem bag? That thing looks pretty nice.
I also use their big brother(18L saddle bag) for daily use too.
And that top tube bag is Vincita, product from Thailand's company.(now they improve their product and change logo too.Their new products can be seen here.)

tspoon and dukearcher, here in Montreal our neighbours are Kiwis, and part of the family were back home when it happened, but also were up on the north island. I havent followed the news too much for the last week because of family vacation, but it was being reported about how much of downtown Christchurch was going to have to be rebuilt due to safety concerns.

pretty neat, must have been quite a trip. Nice looking internally geared rig there.
(hope you dont mind me adjusting the photo, I was actually doing post-prod on some work photos and couldnt help myself adjusting yours so it would look its best, occupational hazard...)

Taken 6am on my first tour after a night of heavy t-storms, and after 15 hours of heavy rain, not much is water proof.
Learned a lot that day.
I didn't realize how heavy the loaded bike was until I took my friend's mountain bike for a ride last week.

Great idea to use the Zimbale bags as panniers. I never thought of that. I wonder if putting the buckle inside the bag would allow you to cinch the straps down and make the bags more secure? Are you posting a journal of your trip?
