I regret not meeting you all in person. I had no idea of what I had signed up for and no idea of how much fun it would be. The Road Forum guys think the 50+ jersey is very "Fred". I'll continue to wear it like a badge, one I've earned on the calendar.

Beth, I'd love to ride with you if you ever need a slow recovery one.

You are one great bunch of folks! Please let me know if you will ever be in the Carlisle area.
The Road Forum guys are not the ones you oughtta be listening to about that jersey!

Lots of rides out of Mechanicsburg HS. . . if you want to join in, just pm and I'll get you the info

Good to see you, BigRing - dang, that's hard to say. And you looked great on the news - did you get to see it?

Excel sports.... sales support the US Cycling Development Foundation. I figure it's fitting considering the Olympics

FYI... It runs a little large (i.e. club fit)

I think we held up pretty good at that pace... It was definitely a enjoyable ride.

Hey -

Just checked my RSS feeds and read Fatcyclist's post for today. Reminded me that I promised to send the link to someone (everyone?) Geesh, my mind is shot. Summer schedules are wearing me out!

Anyway, I remembered now, so here's the link: Fatcyclist.com

Good reading all around. Much better fodder than a lot of what you'll find in the road forums!

Hey Guys,

Sorry we missed you all on the ride, sounds like you had a great time. We were pretty late starting, couldn't find anyone at lunch, and didn't stick around too long at the end (had to get back for the pup). We'll make sure we catch up next year.

Couldn't have asked for much of a better day, except I was right behind another crash, that's 2 in 2 years. Some guy just rode off to the edge of the road, onto some grass, down into a drainage ditch then slammed his front wheel into the drainage pipe and flew over the bars. He was fine, the front wheel and fork were toast. Somehow someone else 20 yards ahead managed to lose it at the same moment.

It's Kim...these guys see your wife, their heads whip around to get a better look, loose control of their bikes and crash.

Yea actually that is the first thread I have ever had locked so I guess you are right.

I wish the mods would send the OP a note as to the reason of the locking though...I mean was it because a bunch of people called me an asshat and other a D-bag and other stuff...or was it because I made fun of this guy...or was it because I suggested that asking what the mods are for is like asking what the meaning of life is.

Have you started threads about it in multiple forums? (50+, Clydesdale, General Cycling, Training & Nutrition, regional forums, etc)

Maybe you can get a mod to make it a sticky at the top of each of the appropriate sub-forums? Oh wait...

I think it's just because they saw it veering off nowhere but downhill, and it had served its useful Monday thread life.

My next post would probably have been along the lines of, "I don't care what anyone says that there is funny."

How are the legs today everyone? I taught a noon Spin yesterday . . . tired legs. Led our B ride last evening (so I got to put the route together - and avoid the steepest hills), and the legs came around. We got 31 miles in before dark, at an 18 avg. The climbs burrrrnnnnnned though.

Today is a leg-rest day - ahhhhhhh.

Rich - I got it stickied in General Cycling and it is in the group buy forum so with only like 5 threads there doesn't need to be a sticky.

It is getting tons of views...just no ordering. TO me the funny part is that everyone *****ed about the older design when we first did the order back in 2005...but then SpongeDad did a second and I am up to 7 orders for a third run of it. Also back then when there was another design thread eveyrone loved Velomancer's new design but now that I am making an order for it no one is ordering that one.

Oh Beth - today I did our Tuesday C ride...it is the best ride we have around here...there doesn't seem to be a B level ride so I hammer to and from the ride start of the C ride. Total tonight was 41.54 miles total....lap 1 was 7.89 mi at 22 mph avg...lap 2 was 26.11 mi at 15.73 avg...lap 3 was 7.54 mi at 17.58 avg.

I am really thinking the Soul S4.0 wheels make a difference...maintaining speeds over 20 mph seems much easier than in the past.

Thanks Beth. They really did a quick coverage on the news, not much detail. It's sad I created a login in 2005 but don't post much. I'll work on changing that now, i'll even update with a picture of sorts.:D
