Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo is quite warm and muggy this time of day. I just got back from a nice morning walk. I will be dropping my wife off at the airport in an hour or so, and then continuing the four hour trip home. She had Covid credit with Southwest, and they don't fly out of Merida. Our 30th wedding anniversary is Tuesday, so we used this as an opportunity to celebrate. Puerto Morelos is actually closer to the airport than downtown Cancun, and a significantly more pleasant place to pass the last night before flying out.

I quite enjoy using cue sheets. With non-aero levers(which I no longer have on any bike), they can be clipped to the cable housings.

In my final days of weed smoking, I did it only while riding. Ultimately I had to stop that practice because I was hitting the little reflectors on the white line.

Sadly, the way I've been riding, there are routes even in the greater Knox County area that I haven't ridden in a long time.
