Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So far, we've only seen evidence of OCD.

That's what I was saying, my OC tendencies are disqualified because they have a function. I have a good reason for anything and everything I do (regarding cycling). I like to think of it as being analytical and methodical.

Hmm, perhaps if I was more OCP I'd be in better shape.

Holy smokes... you are a bunch of sick weirdoes. OMG. I have absolutely no care in the world of how things are done this week, this day, this hour... etc. Heck about the only thing I do as a must is check the air in the tires.

I don't consider myself specially OC, but...
I keep track of monthly kms since 2003.
I always unclip my right foot first.
Last month I looked back while riding went over a sharp rock and nearly fell. Both wheels were out of true, I trued them but couldn't bring the front rim to complete roundness. It's only about 2 mm. You can't notice it unless it's on a truing stand. You can't notice it riding. I'm seriously considering changing the rim, and at the same time correcting the 'backwards' label on the hub.

I will ONLY get on the bike from the non-drive side. Sorta like riding a horse, always mount on the same side. NO variance on this.
My right foot is last clipped in, first unclipped.
My front hub can be read from in front of the bike, my rear hub logo can be read from behind.
I've got lots of "preflight" checks (tires, brakes, cables, etc, etc), but I consider those to have a purpose.

Clearly then you neither deserve a bike nor should you ride one.

Please accept my comments in a spirit of well meaning.

You need to race and get over these niceties before they take over. A little pain and humiliation is what the doctor orders. STAT.

With practice. Also never, I mean never ever weigh yourself unless totally dry. I also would not consider riding unless Garmin functioning. Nut butter goes on right nut first, left second. Junk always rests to the right ( Throckmortons sign). Shorts must be rolled down 3 rolls of 1 inch each.

You swing your right foot over the bike just so you can plant it on the ground, raise your left foot to clip it in, and then start so you can clip your right foot in?

See this thread.
to look through the thread and see 98% of the posters no longer on the forum. Would be curious about the average lifespan of a BF'er before cessation of posts.

Interesting
