Obligatory "Haven't read, but want to read." I think Jan's story was overshadowed and forgotten about in light of the craziness involved with Lance. I want to hear Jan's story, I know there's a lot of ups and downs involved just from what little I've heard on forums. Hopefully I'll get around to it soon.

Not a quick or easy read but worth it.

That book looked interesting but $50-60 used! Geez. Anyone have a copy they want to sell?

“Dividing The Great” is a Y2K vintage travelogue of the GDMBR by a British comedy writer. He figures if he can make it in twice the FKT then he’s at least half as good.

Agree this is a worthwhile read. In addition to the usual biographical stuff, there are some very interesting tidbits on race strategy and tactics, how riders from different teams interact, stuff like that. Nothing earth-shattering, but definitely insider stuff that would not occur to most of us. It also gives a look at the last days of the East Germany sports machine, of which Jensie was a part in his youth.

Currently reading George Hincape’s book. Interesting stories of so many greats as well as struggles with his conscience on drugs and then racing clean. The book is a bit disjointed with all the guest quotes, but if you hang with it, I found it worthwhile.
