Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, pretty sad to put that thing on there just because they couldn't handle the 39T little ring anymore. Maybe they still have the DA in the garage somewhere.

Was he more upset with GM or with Nadar?

Reminds me of a guy in the club I used to ride with. He worked at the GM assembly plant here and got laid off when they closed it down. He was so bitter he would rant about how much he hated GM every time I saw him. I'd see him on a ride and OMG I gotta get out of here! A few of us went to the LA Auto Show and we bumped into him there and he started spewing his anti-GM hatred. I just walked away and my friends got the hint after a few minutes.

I loaded up the Benno for some productive activities outside of rjones28 World Headquarters. It was not soggy.

NadEr, not NadAr.

I'm only picky about this because Nadar is the name of my company. In Spanish, the word "nadar" means "to swim". We build swimming pools... https://www.nadarinc.com/projects

Decades ago we used to get phone calls from people asking to talk to Ralph Nader.

Hey, I've had to hang bikes on fences, turn them upside down, etc. when fixing flats. Would have been really handy to have a bikestand then, provided I didn't have to carry it.
