Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Both bikes are great, I'm jealous, bummer on the first one getting stolen. How did the white bar tape hold up riding cross?

Thanks...yeah...it was a bummer. I loved it...nothing special but definitely unique. The white bar tape was not good tho. I cleaned it after almost every ride/race and changed it a few times but really just resolved to it being greyish-white.

I definitely don't miss the TRP brakes...the Avid Shorty Ultimates are world's better.

Nice to see the Nova out in the wild. The build looks really good.

SS Sycip built about a month and a half ago. Got 2 races on her before the season ended. Sorry for the crappy photo, I was in a hurry. Not sure why the bars look like they are angled up, probably lens distortion.

@ Scrub, what frame are you getting?

@ 91MF, great felt. I was looking at those before the Sycip fell in my lap. Are you going to race on that turbo?

Thanks. The Sycip has an eccentric BB. It was a custom build with the eccentric and the geared bits. I bought it from a teammate.

Sorry guys, forgot to take a picture but I will tell you what I did. This was done more out of necessity than want. The fork I bought had just enough steertube for a stem, so no hanger would fit. The Surly hanger will fit between the stem and the faceplate on one of the four bolts. I had to bend the hanger a couple of degrees but that was no big deal.

This setup works on dirt but not very well on the road. Placing the stop there exacerbates the fork shudder, especially with a light full carbon fork. My next step is to try mini-v's to eliminate the shudder so I can ride it more than on the dirt.
