I’ve been thinking about a conversion for our tandem and have been wondering about front hub systems. Ours is a vintage Motobecane and I think the French bottom bracket threads rule out a mid-drive system. This system looks pretty slick. If you don’t mind my asking, did you install it yourself? What sort of range do you get with it in the real world? (I know that’s a hard one to transfer from person to person because of variations in boost preference, terrain, and such, but real experiences are still really good to hear.)

It is slick. Very easy to fit. Cables are custom length. 30 min for solo and a bit longer for a tandem. I’ve fitted 4 solos and one tandem with no problems.
Range about 35 miles in flat Florida, but we have also added a backup battery which is fitted into a Cytronex holder.
Can be taken on aircraft as the “bottle” consists of two batteries, each of 98Wh, i.e. below the 100Wh limit.
Ships from UK. No 20% sales tax (VAT) and we have never had to pay import duty. Delivery about 4 weeks. Excellent after sales email service.

First ride on our new to us coupled bike. Tackles the hills so much better than our gravel setup tandem.

How awesome! I just rode it solo the first time one year ago and wow!! We no longer have our tandem but I can imagine how amazing that must have been. Well done.
