When I get to jump out of a helicopter or C-17, I think, "They pay me for this?".
When I'm starving to death on 2400 calories a day, getting rained on in 40 degree weather, slogging up and down mountains, with 70lbs on my back and getting less than 2hrs of sleep a night, I think "They don't pay me nearly enough."
Makes riding my bike easy, in comparison.

Love the microSHIFT. I have 2 seasons and a few thousand miles on them. People laugh at my DA derailleurs and Nashbar shifters, but they work fine. I won't say they are on par with other offerings, but they were super cheap and came in lighter than DA780 shifters. My new bike currently under construction will have a full gruppo. I posted a review on their stuff a few years back, probably still in the search.
Cheers

New bike. Came in just over 27lbs as-is. The bike will be my trail and race bike for XC and super-d events.

DOK!!!
Glad to see you back. Thank you for your service and glad to hear that you're doing well.
Looking forward to seeing you kick ass again. I still remember your post on how you started doing leg presses and scared the crap outta the football players there.

I thought it was a fast-trac pass to zoom through the toll roads during training runs. : )

On a 250m it's pretty tough to check out the numbers but in any case, the good ole UCI says you can't have a computer that's visible for the rider in a track event. NAt's enforces this rule as does worlds so I had to figure out a spot to mount the head unit; this was the cleanest aerodynamically and mechanically.
