Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I went into it expecting less racing, and more learning. And guess what? I learned a f*ckton.

By the way, they ran out of numbers they had so many people. They were hand-writing numbers for people. They started a #1 (I was 34) and the highest I saw was 264. There were a bunch of those damn Dutch teams, too.

this place alone would be worth the ride from nyc to nh, though i didn't get to go when last time when i did my ride to nh.

I tried it on the way back from Maine so there was no way I was going to eat pizza twice in the span of a few hours; Pepe's was really good and definitely worth the wait in line.

Pine Box. It's cheaper and a more traditional material for the task.

It's no wonder that the foo was displeased with you. Although, I suppose the recent upswing in the number of parody threads pleases it.

Not sure what's wrong with my bowels, but today at work I shat 3-4 times.

Then, after work, I got in a nice quickie (16 mile ride, that is. Not another BM)

Wow, little things we take foregranted here in CA. I have to bribe ride buddies to go out at that temperature.

^^^^^^
I just returned to Mi. after 3 weeks of working in the los angeles area, and I must say you all got it pretty friggin' sweet! To the point that I was jelous every time I got in the car. I wish I could find a buyer for my house and a job in Ca. peeps in my hood would be choking on my sneaker dust. Lifes to short to have winters in it.
Cycling related .....I made a deal on a Aluminum Orbea' frame, with a easton carbon fork. Its a 92 tour model frame in the orange team colours, new never built. I will put my 9 speed 105 stuff on for a dirty weather bike.

Some UCI 1.1 Pro race is starting int he town center 2.5km from my house. I saw the Milram boys riding down my sidestreet. Kinda cool. I saw a BMC rider (He had the build of Murphy) on the canal a few days ago.
