I'm still trying to get the cranks and seatpost freed, so this may be a long-term project. Someone put bar-end shimano shifters on this, so I'm already back the 30.00 I paid, as I have those and the wheelset with the sealed bearings. I have the press in bearing bottom bracket, once I have the cranks off, I'll have to locate my retention ring plier sets. Then I plan to convert this Viscount to downtube shifters, and my Schwinn Passage to bar ends.

WOW guy, exactly how tall are you? I have an extremely tall bike, and the frame on yours looks about the same, but your seat post is extended about twice as much as mine. The pic of my bike here on the forum was taken right after delivery and before I adjusted everything, the seat angle and height included.

You must have. I'm 6'5" and ride that sized frame in the Passage (same year) with less than a fistful of seatpost.

Websterr, that's a beautiful ride! That bike frame would fit me perfect if I lowered the seat about 2.5 to 3 inches. My 1987 Super Sport has a 24 inch(61cm) frame and is just a tad small. What size is yours?

I'm going to guess his is 25", the same as mine and I have my seat post showing about 6" which is perfect for me.

Yeah, I looked at my spec sheet for 1987 and 25 inches was the max for all road bikes except the World and Traveler, and they went up to 27 inches.

The Wright's saddle dates to the late 30's, the Carradice bag is new but I think it all works very nicely on the 1966 Moulton with the early 70's cranks, bar, stem, and brake levers and the modern Inter 7 hub and Shimano generator.



I simply love this bike and it has resulted in a case of N-1 here.

Like it was pulled from a time capsule... my friend picked it up at a garage sale as it sits for less than the cost of a 2-4 of beer and passed it along to me.

Better... swapped in some Raleigh Special bars to correct the short reach issue and corrected the brakes to proper English style.

Finally finished this 2 speed town bike. It's a parts bin special mounted on an SR Triathalon frame/fork. TA adapteur with bash ring, SR north road bars, GB stem, Schwinn grips (comfy!), Duomatic rear hub, Superbe Pro track front, Mavic rims, Brooks Conquest saddle. It's geared a little high at 49/19. The tri frame has a long top tube so it's still has an aggressive posture. I had originally planned to put Calamarichrises Nitto rack on this but it has tight clearances and wasn't worth it. The rear rack is a salvaged steel rack out of Croydon England. It reminds me of Craven motorbike racks, also out of Croydon.
