I rode 41 miles on Friday and 42 miles on Saturday. Got stopped by this bridge as a couple of sailboats passed through.

Took new to me Roubaix for a test 20 mile ride. Oddly, average and max speed is a bit lower than my trek 7.3 FX on the same route.

About 32 miles in glorious fall-like weather. Precisely to where the Katy Trail goes under what remains of the old I-70 bridge over the Missouri River at Rocheport, MO. The old span was taken down in a moment last Sunday morning.

43.5 miles ride from SE Sheffield to Matlock (Peak District) and back. Toughest ride I've done, probably several thousands feet climbing. I'm not a "natural" climber at all. It was brutal for me TBH and I wouldn't do it again. There was a 14% hill for about a mile on the way out that I didn't even know was there lol. Anyway it took me 6 hours to do it but I managed all the hills staying on the bike.

We have that in Florida, only it's cooler, we call it winter and it generally last for 5 days.

Been having issues with my neck after the car accident I was in, so took a couple of visits to the chiropractor this week. Felt much better today, but still have some issues looking to the left, so I did not want to go on the road just yet. So I got in 75 inside after work. I watched Lord of the Rings movies to pass the time while I did a long rouvy route.

9.6 miles. It would normally be more, but golf comes before riding.

That would be a 0, got up sweating in 65F house, joints aching- my daughter's cold finally hit.

How tough is BF community? Anyone rides with a cold or worse? I think I could've toughen it out with ibuprofen, possibly until first hill.

My "regular" 20 mile round trip from SE Sheffield to Dinnington today.
I like to get there and sit in the park for a drink and a pie then go back. A nice route with just a few small hills and the steepest only 10%.

Edit:
I'm interested in seeing how much elevation I do on my rides. My "regular" Dinnington ride is 190m / 620ft climbing in 9.4 miles, so only 66ft/mile, quite flat for here.
The ride to Matlock the other day, was 2,165ft for 21.1 miles, which was 103ft/mile. Ouch, no wonder it was hard.

I think it depends on how bad you really feel. I've ridden some short miles, 20 or less and found that sometimes, it helps to just sweat it out, other times it better to stay in bed. However, if you are sweating in 65 deg, pass, just rest and and hydrate.

It was too nice of a day here is swelterland. The temps when I left the house was 73, yes 73, the humidty, nowhere to be found. Did I mention it was 73 and no humidity. The only thing ruining the party was constant 10 mph wind that kept shifting from NW to the NE and back, but I dealt with it. My neck felt pretty good today, I could look to the left without pain or stiffness, so I to a ride outside. Got in 55, but I had to make sure I had plenty of sunlight to replace my irrigation pump that died on me. It had a good life, 36 years
