I seem to have followed Covid up with a cold or at least it seems that way, similar symptoms yet different. My wife never tested positive but has the same cold type symptoms. Regardless, I took the day off from riding due to dampness. Tomorrow should be better.

Tuesday ride started out int the 40s but no rain. There were lots of clouds moving around so I brought the camera and got a few snaps.
Here we are about to head into that canyon.
Some clouds were lurking.
Steve stopped for a minute so I waited.
His wife didn't wait until later.
We finally caught up to her.

We stopped at the usual park for water and restrooms.
Back on the road.
Steve and I waited for the other two at the top of this long grade.
It looks warmer here but it's not. Keith turned around to see what was wrong but I was just taking a picture.
You can barely see some of the big rock formations in the center of the shot.
More clouds.

We just had our Holiday Lunch, where everyone including me ate too much, and now I'm feeling the effects. It turns out the Social Committee for our site had a substantial sum budgeted for this year, and half the staff is already gone, so we have a number of events planned for the last few weeks of the year. And me, trying to lose weight!
I'll have to ride off some of it later this afternoon, but I had to wash all the road grit off the Canyon before I put it in the Snap again. Even though it wasn't raining, it STILL had a lot of crud all over it! So, now the bike is in the garage, leaning against a table, with a fan blowing on it to dry it off so I can re-lube it before riding.

First off, rest up a little. You pile on a lot of miles. Maybe take a break for the holidays or at least shorten up the distance/intensity. You can blame the lack of riding on the holidays so youre friends wont think you are slacking off.

I can’t take any medicine and work, that’s the problem, and I can’t afford to miss anymore work. So it’s a catch 22.

Wow - that’s way better than my stick figures. When I’m trying to step up my game a little bit, I add bow ties to the people. Crazy - I know.
