Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

sold my 105 5700 group, and bought used 2012 force/Red mix (red "black" RD) group w/same amount of miles as 105. Only ended up costing me $50 to upgrade.

OldBridge nice Defy! What frame size is it? Any chance you can get a shot without the angle from the top?

Thanks.. It's a M frame.

I will take some more pics later today or tomorrow when I get a min. This indoor crappy cell pic doesn't do it justice, its a really sweet bike!!

The shop fitted it to me and my needs, even swapped bars for Ritchey wider ones, bar tape and a slightly longer stem all on them. Pretty pumped about the bike and the overall experience.

After years and years of saying I would never spend over a 100 bucks for a piece of foam....

I caved and bought a Giro Atmos. In my defense, it was the 2012 model at a 50% discount at 99 euros. Technically, I still did not pay a 100.

If anyone is interested and happens to be reading this in Holland or Belgium (small chance). They have 50% off at Math Salden on a whole range of helmets including all the higher end Giro helmets like the Aeon, Ionos and Atmos. Would not buy it at full price but for these prices I do not mind giving them a try and see what the fuss is about. My old helmet is going to a friend who just got into cycling and is still in his "I'm too cool for a helmet" stage.

Quick pic on the way home with her, once I get the cages mounted and cleaned up a bit I'll take a few pics.

That looks like a Road Machine. I have one, I've had it for two years. It is great, and problem free!

I have the rock & roll. I love it but it takes up a massive amount of space in my tiny apartment. If you're worried about space saving I'd just go with the road machine.

Serfas Tracer bar-end lights. I really should have paid more attention to the reviews, but after how I happy I was with their Force 5's, I disregarded it, and I fully regret it.

This was $20 I pretty much just kissed goodbye. In fact, after the time I spent trying to make these stupid things work, if someone asked me if I would rather spend $20 on these lights or a lap dance at a nearby strip joint, I'd pick the strip joint. If that strip joint turned out to be Danny's, I'd pretty much just grin and bear it because getting a naked lap dance from an oiled-up gay man in Canada beats dealing with these absolute pieces of Chinese-made crap.

OTOH, quite liking my new jersey. Kinda tight, though...
