depends on what gels you like and what kind of packaging, single serving or multi serving?
Performance bike often has the powerbar gels on sale, buy one box, get another box free
Hammer Nutrition has a 26 serving bottle at a really good price, if you buy 3 or more is even cheaper
those are the only ones that i know of, cause they are the ones i use, i am sure there are other good deals out there.

I used the PowerBar gels but did not like the consistency of them, I now use Hammer Gels in bulk format, better taste when warm and consistency overall. You can get 15% off your first order if you click the link below.

My favorite is Crank Energy. It's cheaper and better than the alternatives I've tried.
I like the 150 calorie packets they use better than the 100's that most other companies use, their gels include electrolytes but not caffeine, and I think their products taste better than the Hammer, Cliff, and Gu offerings. Also, Crank gels are thinner so they go down a little easier. Disclaimer: if you click on the link above and order from them, I get a discount the next time I buy. But that discount wouldn't interest me in the least unless I was going to buy anyway.

also make sure your stomach can handle the gels, they are all made a little different, some with just maltodextrin, others use a malto/fructose combo, some are from honey, and the list goes on, but it's all trial and error

Thanks for the link... I am going to test the gel & drink mix... I definitely like the lack of sugar in the energy drink.

Yes, I could not agree with you more. These are hands down my favorite gels. You can get a nice discount at sportsbasement.com $26 for 24

This doesn't answer your question, but if you're looking for cheap gels you can make your own.
I use 3oz of barley malt syrup
3oz of brown rice syrup
2oz of honey
1-2oz of water (changes consistency)
Heat it up, mix it, then stick in the fridge. I put it in my gel flask I bought online for $4. You can also add flavoring. I put peanut butter and jelly, and it taste just like a PBJ sandwich. Also you can find most of those ingredients organic.

mmkay, it sounds crazy but I just make my own.
Use the hammer flasks, keep the extra in the fridge and no litter/waste.
You can buy maltodextrin online and if you heat it on the burner in some juice w/ a little sugar/fructose you're good to go. I may look into getting some caffeine, but we'll see.

I'll agree to that, i tried clif shot bloks for the first time and after only eating two of them on my ride two days ago i felt like vomiting. I have a powerbar gel that i haven't tried yet, i bought a small packet of each different brand to see which one i like best, hopefully the powerbar is easier on my stomach.

don't have the time is a cop out. Just say it sounds like too much hassle for you. It takes 10 minutes to make what hammer sells for $25 out of $5 worth of material. If you ever cook, throw an extra pot on.
I'm still of the opinion that just about everyone has time for anything they want to do. it's just a matter of priorities.

there's a lot of research touting the benefits of caffeine for endurance athletes. It's efficacy is diminished if you say, drink a pot of coffee every morning

It's very easy for me, I use a glass salad dressing bottle that has ounce measurements on it. 3oz of each syrup, 2oz of honey, 1oz of water. Put it in the microwave for 30s. Then shake.
