Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So I finally got the Conti GP 5K off the wheel. I think we both needed time apart. We both said things that were out of line, but can’t take back...

But I have opposable thumbs and tire levers! It’s like one of those finger locks that tightens the more force you put into it. Anyway, it’s now in the trash along with the Conti tube with a hole in it. I’m going back to Kenda tubes and Michelin Pro tires. Rolling resistance and any weight savings were never applicable to my slowpoke self, but I would’ve liked to have at least tried them given my success with GP 4K S2s (which I have on my 60.1 and am very happy with). C’est la vI.

If you do, shape it into the curve of road bike drop bars. TT bars would not be a good look, however.

In the app, I clicked on “you”, scrolled to the bottom half of the screen to “statistics” and there’s YTD for my sports. I can’t all 3 of the together, but I’m fine with that.
