Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think it Looks good, what say you?

Looks like paint chipped off the tube from the deflection of the impact.

The quick and dirty check is to tap on it with a coin.. tap both sides then onto the chipped part and see if there is a sound difference. cracked spots will sound more flat.

kinda weird spot for an impact.. maybe the bars turned and wacked it? hard to hit the ground with bars and saddle being above the top tube.

Bought a new set of G springs and carrier for my 2005 Campy Chorus shifters. They were going soft.

I bought a cheapie Park spoke wrench as Nashbar is having a free shipping deal and I recently tossed my older more cheapie-er spoke wrench.

This is my first cycling related purchase for 2018.

Took the bike out for a hard and fast ride over garbage pavement banging off and on sidewalks hard with the colnago bottles full and soaked with condensation and they didn't budge fromthe cages...so I ordered two more spares for just $8 each from Specialized since they are on clearance and they're that good.

Just bought some stainless steel brake and shifter cables to take advantage of Nashbar's free shipping deal. I was getting a little low on stock.

Have a pair of those exact ones on my BMC. Great cages, such great price.

Two new pair of gloves and 6 pair of cycling socks. The gloves are cheap Amazon ones that I want to try to see if it is worth buying another few pair. Once the stench gets into the glove it doesn't come out so I want enough to be able to wash after a single wearing with the rest of the clothes, and 2 3 packs of socks, one Giro the other Garneau, so name brand there.

I also bought a replacement spring set for my Chorus 10 speed shifters. I love that Campy is replaceable. The springs do wear down and the clicks were getting soft.

Fizik Antares R3 Open Regular. Bought as a potential replacement for existing Arione R3 saddle. Took it out on first ride, not really getting the feel of it that well. Seems like there may be two possible sitting positions for it, one more forward and aggressive while the other towards the rear, perhaps better for sitting in an upright position. Either way, still need couple of rides to really decide if it's a keeper, but for now feels less comfortable on the tops but more comfortable for aggressive riding in the drops, compared to the Arione.

N+1

Bombtrack Hook 2 CX/Gravel to replace my 23 y.o. Rocky Mountain mountain bike that had serious corrosion to ride on our local gravel roads. As a big Campy guy, I love the Sram Rival 1 shifting, so intuitive and love the simplicity of the single chainring drivetrain. Bought from my son who is a Bombtrack dealer, at a substantial discount

Just pre-ordered kit from one of our awesome local bike shops. This kit is epic and ridiculous and looks like someone threw up neon everywhere, and I love it!

Wasn't expecting to get carbon wheels anytime soon but a friend was selling her road bike and was willing to sell the wheels separately. Got them for a pretty good price I think. A few years old but really not ridden that much and still in great shape. They look amazing as well.

Dont care how its made and what goes into it, its still just a bell. No bell is worth $60usd.
The bell I currently use it plenty loud, but ppl still cant hear and when they do they either look up looking for birds or reach for their phone.
