Recommendations for bibs with thick lycra?
Haven't bought bibs in a while. Looking through what's available at one store left me unimpressed.
Anybody have any recommendations?

[SUB][/SUB]I'd look at something with wool in it, like Icebreaker or Swobo. Can't thank of anything that it's heavier for just shorts (unlike thermal knicks)

I have a Colnago C59 kit, and the lycra weight (or whatever it properly is) is notable. My second weightiest bibs are Garneau Elite, I think, though LG make so many I'm not sure anymore.
EDIT: my LG's are Equipe, not Elite, bibs.

Do you want thick lycra for compression or durability or warmth ?

Durability primarily, compression a distant second.

Thick lyric isn't necessarily more durable. I've got a pair of Assos S5 bibs that actually use different fabric for the seat and upper thighs (saddle bag rub), so that they appear to be significantly more abrasion resistant than cheaper bibs.

I don't trust this Assos bibs any more. They cost twice as much as they used to be and are half as thick. Maybe they're as durable, but I'm not going to spend $300 to find out.
