A couple days ago I was blowing leaves on a steep bank and my feet slid out. I landed on my bottom.
Now I have a bruised buttock. Sigh.
It's not easy being Velo Vol

Slow morning. Everyone must be doing some last-minute shopping.

Does ownership of a Litespeed MTB imply you're a dentist? Or is that just the road bikes? And does it still apply if your saddle is still higher than your bars?

When I think "Monster Cross", I think of the offspring of Godzilla and something else large and scaly. Probably comes of being a Biologist.

Life got slightly exciting for the GeneJockey family. The Younger Boy reported last night that his GF has COVID, and said, "Maybe we should get tested?"
So, after discussion, here's how it went: TYB and TYBGF were last together last Thursday. Sunday Night, TYBGF starts feeling poorly. Gets tested, results come back Wednesday as Positive for COVID.
That means basically 3 days between last potential exposure and TYBGF developing symptoms. CDC sez you may be contagious TWO days prior to developing symptoms. Which means he's almost certainly clear.
ALMOST certainly.
As somebody who lives by the 95% confidence interval, I understand that it means 1 out of 20 times, the less likely thing happens. He feels fine, and if he'd been exposed and was going to become symptomatic, he'd be so by tonight at the latest. Again, of course - 95% CI.
And we're all boosted, with TYB, TOB, and I all getting it last Friday.

Is that a Manitou fork? I had one of the last elastomer sprung Manitous and I bought a damper/spring kit from Manitou and it made a huge difference. I recently gave that fork to a friend but I don't know if he used it, or if it still works. I brought it up because if you can get the parts those forks can be quite nice. Elastomers suck.
