The Cat is away, us mice will play….
Sweetie is in DC for a conference all week.
I live in Portland. Home of many distractions, from food carts to strip clubs.
Left to my own devices, I did what any C&V cyclist would do.
I worked on her X-mas present, one-half of a his/hers 1971 Cinelli IN THE LIVINGROOM!!
Turned the McIntosh up to 11, picked a couple albums from the “C” section (in honor of Cinelli).
Grabbed a couple bottles of bourbon and set out to clean her new bike.

Ah yes, the living room wrench, that most dangerous temptation. Why is it so enjoyable? Because we know we're getting away with something?

On a Cinelli, I'd go so far as to say that the only allowable part would be the Suntour... Except for Simplex retrofriction levers, which are correct on everything, French parts on Italian bikes is kinda weird.

I sourced a campy rally 1.2 (re-enforced) but honestly, I think a suntour Crane might be the best answer

My favorite place to work is in our entry . I throw out a drop cloth and have at it!! It is real close to my coffee bar(sorry, don't drink) and my wifey is just fine with it. Nice bike(s) I remember the post when you got them . As long as Greta doesn't mind!

Lets not forget melting your wax in the oven and bike parts cleaning in the dish washer. Also the Lions and Tigers and Bears... OH MY!
That's all and well but still, all will be better when the Food Lady returns... Ha

engine had burned a hole through a piston. That was the last car repair my father did.
‘a year later he bought a Cadillac Coupe de Ville, in maroon, tail fins and GM Styling. It was new car every two years until 1971.

cask strength. Needs a lil ice to cool it down. I like to see how it evolves while the ice melts.

My wife would be happy if I did bike repairs in the living room as she is looking for a reason to replace the carpet... but that expense would defund the bike hobby. #choices
Gld to see (The) Cure make the list.

‘when I was a very wee tot, my Mom in no uncertain terms told my father to take the Fiat 500 motor back downstairs- and he was NOT going to clean it in the kitchen of the apartment.
engine had burned a hole through a piston. That was the last car repair my father did.
‘a year later he bought a Cadillac Coupe de Ville, in maroon, tail fins and GM Styling. It was new car every two years until 1971.
